Chainsaw is a good multi-use tool, 
Suggestion: Chainsaw be able to cut melon blocks as it does with pumpkins.

WHAT, i doesn't cut Melonblocks! Thats definetly a forgotten Feature.

The best tool to cut melon blocks is a sword according to the wiki, but we may open an exception. Pumpkins are harvested quickly with the chainsaw because their best tool is an axe.

Soulsand is actually shovels now. I know they've changed it as often as they did glowstone, but it's currently (at least in 1.2.3) a shovel.

No tool breaks Glass faster than by hand... well no IC2 tool anyway. Bit slow here, knocking down these glass walls I don't need anymore....

Swords should break glass faster, so why not add that to the Nano-Saber?

Any tool should break Glass faster than hands, except Laser.
Can be laser shots changed to go through Glass without damage?
