[Suggestion] small kitchen appliances

  • all right second try hopefully the forum won't log me out in the middle of writing this
    DISCLAIMER: this idea hinges on whether a block id can change what model it uses based on the inventory of the block if this is impossible then just let this thread sink beneath the waves and die


    so the idea is a series of EU powered food convenience items that are centered around a new 1/8 of a block tall item called the "induction counter top" which which will serve as a place to mount all these appliances and connect them to the Enet
    recipe:

    so the appliances are all normal items (to save on block id's) they are all cheap-ish and only do a few things but they do those things very well. to setup just right click an induction counter top with the appliance it will then be place in the counters inventory and a model of the appliance will appear on the counter to remove just whack the appliance with a wrench(cause every thing in industrial kitchens must be bolted down of course lift-able stuff is for wimpy consumers) here are some appliances i have though up so far
    1. cooker:

    randomly appears as either a microwave, a deep fryer, a stove top range, or an oven. works basically like an electro furnace but it can only smelt food but it can do so for faster and cheaper than an electro furnace
    2. coffee machine:

    to use just right click with coffee beans, milk and sugar to fill it up and right click with a empty mug to get hot coffee. NO MORE JUGGLING GUI'S TO MAKE YOUR MORNING COFFEE! it also fills more mugs per bean than the diy method.
    3. bread machine:
    recipe unsure
    allows a 1 wheat to 1 bread ratio at the cost of eu
    4. electric can opener

    consumes food cans and will (with a 1 in some thing chance)spit out a random food item with the odds of getting better foods increasing with each failure(lots of output slots)
    5. minifridge

    side ways opening chest, emits light when open, massive storage space, only stores food
    6. food processor

    lets you turn dyes (besides lapiz) into food cans also lets you make mushroom stew with 1 mushroom
    7. cake
    a counter wouldn't make sense if you couldn't serve food on it

    true balance is impossible in video games the best one can hope for is to make it really hard to guess which of 2 choices are better.

  • Get all agriculture stuff we can plant, some animal meat, milk (process it into cheese and butter) and voila, we have a hamburguer :P

    We NEED potatoes(and vinegar) so that we can have fish and chips! :)

    I tried to propose this in a way that doesn't add a bunch of new things to eat but just make what we already have more convenient with out resorting to the old :Quantum-Helmet:
