IC2 [1.97] Stuck on Mojang Screen

  • I have minecraft forge 3.3.8.153.

It has it's own modloader. I install that and everything is fine, until I put industrialcraft-2_client1.97.jar in the mods folder. I run minecraft after that, and it gets stuck on the mojang screen. Here is the forge log:

    http://pastebin.com/XJY08iLw

As you see, at the bottom, it says "initializing mod_IC2" and just stays there. Nothing happens after that. I don't know if this is forge or IC2, but I can install other mods just fine, so it must be IC2. I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, I couldn't find any other problems related to this one in the bug section in the forums.

    Thanks,
    Minionsman

  • Have you tried redownloading IC2, just in case it got corrupted? It happens sometimes. Other than that, I can also confirm it should work with Forge 152, haven't tried any newer.

  • I tried 3.3.8.152, and I re-downloaded IC2, but it still gets stuck on the mojang screen and still gets stuck at "initializing mod_IC2"

Unless I'm somehow installing forge or IC2 wrong, I have no idea why this still happens.

  • Are you on Mac OSX? I am having the same problem, but not on Win 7.

EDIT: I found the solution for this, I posted it here: [SOLVED but IS a bug] Client 1.97 Hangs on Mojang Screen

by false the soundsenable, i'm able to get into the main manu, but when i created a new world, it crashed

  • Sorry, the fix I know of is only for Mac OS. But if I had to guess, the issue might be that you are running Vista. Could be some other fix out there for the Win Vista bug. Best fix, however, would be to upgrade to Win 7 (maybe even downgrading to XP would be a better option.)

Vista >>>>>>>>>> XP as long as your computer is 40 years old

  • Vista was good :p It had a lot of features over XP. XP is basically just Win2K with an ugly skin. Windows 7 is obviously better than Vista though. Many optimisations and new features.
