[Achievement Bug] Achievement gets resetet on MC Restart

  • Hey Everybody.

I'm using the IC² Mod only since a few Days. Today, I recoginzet that all my Achievements (from Minecraft Vanilla and from IC²) are resetet everytime I restart Minecraft.
But they only get resetet when I already have a Achievement unlockt from IC².
    I'm using Minecraft 1.2.5 with IndustrialCraft² v1.97.
    Other Mods used:
    - ModLoader
    - Forge
    - Millenaire
    - Minecolony
    - MoCreatures
    - Buildcraft
    - AudioMod
    - gemsCraft
    - BCIC² Crossover
    - Reciepbook

I tryed disabling all Other mods, startet a new World, got the MC Achievemnts up to "Getting an Upgrade", restartet the Game and all was ok. Than I searched a Cupperore and got the "New Oreminer" Achievement. Went back to the Titelscreen and quitet the Game with the "official" quitbutton, startet MC again and got the all Achievements ware gone. So I think its a problem with IC², Forge or the Modloader.
Does anybody know how to fix this. I think i cant leave Minecraft open till the end of my days ;)

I hope there is a solution becouse I realy would like to have the Achievements. It's a nice "workthrough" to learn about IC².

First off, DO NOT INSTALL MODLOADER! Its incompatible with Forge
Second. I have that Problem too, since i installed Forge 135 and IC² 1.97 so its one of these. I doubt its IC²'s fault may updatig Forge will solve that Problem, as they had a few Problems with their Achievementsystem since 1.2.5.

  • I have this problem too, and I blame multimc for this, it creates a new jar everytime I start that program. This is actually real annoying, especially since I don't care anything about these achievements and minecraft telling me how to open the inventory every single day is not really helping there. But for as far as I know it has nothing to do with IC2, since the archievements are stored somewhere in minecraft.jar I think.

    Are you sure?!
I installed it in this way: http://wiki.industrial-craft.n….php?title=Download#Setup
And it says: First install Risugami's ModLoader and than install SpaceToad's MCForge

So i dont think they are incompatible...

I tried a few differend Forge versions ... (with and without Modloader) and its always the same.
Dont know what to do now -.-

  • Not a IC2 bug or a Forge bug or anything else like that. It's just Minecraft being minecraft. Any time you change the jar your achievements get reset. There's only one mod that I know of where it's bugged and that's Twilight Forest, it resets it every time you launch the game.

  • It's really not necessary anymore to run modloader, except for mods that aren't compatible with forge, but then it probably won't work anyhow.
You don't even need audiomod anymore, you probably installed that with mo's creatures, but if you check this thread on the minecraft forum you will read that you don't need both these mods anymore, since everything is included in forge now.

  • Ok... I didn't know that... but I changed it now.
I read that Minecraft does reset the Achievements if the .jar changes ... but does the .jar change if I get thoose new Achievements?! Would be some kind of silly than, having Achievements which aren't able to get. Is ther any kind of fix for that? I think it would be just putting out the resetcode right?! ... Or would this lead into other problems?

    Greetings

  • I got multi mc installed on my pc, whenever I start that, first time, it will reinstall the jar for some reason, so adding all the mods that need to be inside the jar all over again. There is a way to disable this forced update, but when I disable that, it automatically enables it again for me, so all this is very annoying. Getting an archievement however isn't the same as overwriting the archievements just as forge probably does.
