I hope this breeder is of any use as it charges 160 cells in a cycle.
Heating it is probably done by replacing one or more of the depleted cells with (quad-) uranium cells like so.
Replacing the 4 charged cells with 4 fresh ones is probably only doable with RP or maybe a clever BC setup.
Mine at 30k heat is 1.6 times faster but 2.5 times less efficient then this design at 72k heat by mistaqur.

Also just a little detail but your design will melt stuff.
EDIT: http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…0ro5hv9d46zfzq95bxh52s9qd
No need for micromanaging your reactor just put the uranium cells in it and it breeds them for ya. 4x 18 cells per cycle recharged and it uses just 1 uranium cell. 85% heat is at 59160 heat and it operates at ~58000 heat. -
Rick So my breeder doesn't work or is it just not useful or am I really not understanding what you are saying?
This is 400 eu/t with efficiency 2.86.
I knew it was possible: 420 eu/t with efficiency 3. -
I'm still waiting for a reasonable breeder design. With quarter of needed resources, even if it breeds only quarter of those amount of cells

The goal of the Quadrant family is to minimize operating costs, not building costs. Also, is it just me, or are Quadrants the most powerful breeders in this topic (that won't have problems)?

Problem is you need high heat which automatically means alot of heat capacity plating which cost alot of copper. A working quad cell setup may reduce those copper costs.

I knew it was possible: 420 eu/t with efficiency 3.It requires alot of micro because it doesnt keeps its temperature. That micro is what killed breeders before the big reactor revolution.
That 420 eu/tick reactor is going to be added

So far yes but we havent seen much designs yet.

I've given my best design so far somewhere on page 2~Right now I'm working on a 12 single-cell MK1 design, trying to bring it down from a MK5 right now.
EDIT: Bingo! a 12 cell, Single-Celled, MK1, 230EU/t design

Just cut down even further on the costs of it. -
Even cheaper 35 eu/t starting reactor.
Edit: Like this it looks like an upside down stair (not really important).
-
120 eu/t mk I EA++ (6eff)....not cheap but very efficient:

Hehe seems after turning the design that heat exchanger wasnt needed anymore. Its really dirt cheap now xd

-
Rick Could you please change the credits to SSD?
ye i know iam doing multiple things atm
Edit: Added a cheap breeder that recharges 24 cells per uranium cell. Also added a expensive breeder that recharges 84 cells per uranium cell.

mm, Rick, may I ask if my design is sufficient enough to be listed on the designs page?
Perhaps, with duals and quads running out 4 times as fast nowadays, that you could make a special category for designs that can run a full 10,000 second cycle, such as single-celled ones? Simply speculating.

Here's my submission. Maximum efficiency, set it and forget it.

not quite...you do have to change the reflectors once every 4 cycles. -

I could add some plating, but that would add cost. Then again, cost is not the first priority if you are using a Quadrant of any sort nor are effects related to extreme heat. I may just update Quadrant II and Quadrant III families.
Edit: I did add plating to the Quadrant II, III, and IV families. On a side note, exactly what does the heating cell value indicate on the Quadrant II? Is it something to worry about?

Good changes on the cooling, but you changed out the Thick Neutron Reflector for the Neutron Reflectors. Won't they have to be changed out 4 times during 1 full cycle since my original design uses a Quad Uranium Cell? This version has your cooling changes, but keeps my Thick Neutron Reflectors:

Good Efficiency.
Very easy to reload - just put out depleted cells and push some new. Quad and regular cells placement does not matter. No free spaces inside reactor, easy to use automation.
Can work nonstop.
No diamonds needed.
100% safely.
