Again, the reactor planner was already coded from the beginning to have quad uranium cells last the correct amount of time.
A single uranium cell should run the same duration as a quad uranium cell.
Thus a Mark I design that vents an equal or greater amount of heat than is produced will NOT explode, assuming of course the design is made in such a way that the parts don't melt. Which in a Mark I design, they don't.

If you built that 420 design and it blew up, then you changed something other than the running duration of quad/dual uranium cells.

just one question, how can a reactor be determine as cost efficient, is it determined by uranium or other resources. I usually stick to use less uranium, but is this right? Here is one Mk 1 EA reactor 320/t that uses only 4 quad cells

There are 2 kinds of costs. Building costs and running costs. Running costs can normally be expressed in UU-matter + uranium and could be compared in that way. You could express building costs in how rare the material is. For example gold is about 11.2 times more rare than iron. So you multiply the gold by 11.2 and add this to the iron and compare reactors. You could also use this design. I just told you that gold is more rare, so trying to minimize the amount you use is normally a good idea.

Really nice addition. The overall profit in eu/t is based on a scrap fed mass-fab, but are the UU-matter numbers rounded up down or just rounded to the nearest integer?

Can be runned with an vanilla redstone Timer or an sequencer (50% on / 50% off Timer or 33% off & 66% on Sequencer)
Benefit: on 50%/50% mode it can run double the time and with lower running cost as the mark I Effi 7 reactor
on 33%:66% mode it can provide more energy per tike then the mark I effi 7 reactor (on lower running cost)

A low UU-matter building cost alternative.
And another way of configuring it.
