I had this idea when trying to set up remote management of some systems in a base. It would be easier if I could trigger redstone remotely, to avoid long trips into corridors and other areas of the like. It would just output a redstone signal when the signal is output from the remote. Just a simple idea for remote management of some systems.
Suggestion: Block for Detecting Frequency Transmitter Signal

Wireless Redstone by Chicken Bones (with Redpower support) or other mods.
Don't think your suggestion would be accepted, as there are many mods that already does it. -
I just don't like how Wireless Redstone functions really. Most of it is the fact that you have to place down a block to send out a signal. And you have to configure this block. I'd rather be able to use a frequency transmitter, which is easier to carry around, to do that sort of thing on the fly.

Well, if I understand what you're wanting, WR-CBE does have the remote item in it's 'Addons' package. You could use that.

The only problem with chickenBone's WR is RP2 public too old.

Alright, fine. Here's another WR mod I used to use: http://www.minecraftforum.net/…144wireless-redstone-v16/
I think the 1.4.4 version of it will work in 1.4.5, but I don't know as I don't use it anymore.
EDIT: And it's Forge-based as well.

Always wondered if this version had been updated yet... Thanks for the link!
