Now that we have the new Boats and such, perhaps an Electric Minecart? Get in and it takes Power from your Batpack/Lappack to go very fast forward. It would need to be moving slightly to go of course but you can just Hop in and Hold down W for 2 seconds. Why? Becuase HAYO + Screw Booster Rails.
If it gets implemented (Has anything in the Suggestion thread ever been implemented? xd) I dont mind doing the Textures since i did the boat ones.

I'm supporting this, and wanting an electric Rail Cable that conduct EU and can power electric carts to move way faster than you'd do with anyother system of carts.
Just because using energy and expensive rails/cables would require buffing something else -

Magnetic Levitation, super smooth, no bumps or friction at all. Otherwise the Track might catch fire

Sounds like an awesome idea. Railcraft integration?

Always been a big fan of Railcraft.
One of the most Balanced Steel Producers along with awesome Track/rail system capabilities. For Maglev's like RC's Suspended track, it would be epic if you could have them placeable for up to say 10 blocks on either side without a block underneath, unlike RC's 2, it would definetly make it worth using.

This have been suggested before (long time ago...) and it is on the "to-do list" if i'm not wrong.

It was actually added all the way back in IC, but without a crafting recipe. It acted like a minecart with furnace - no gui, and not rideable. It had no texture, so it was just a white box, and its item sprite was that of a batpack. Then an update made it really buggy, and the plans were scrapped. But IC2 can draw on the near-infinite power source that is the mysterious Forge API, and maybe the ALLMIGHTY DRAGON-LORD MODERATOR ALBLAKA will bless us with electric locomotion by old fashioned rails.

Really? cool. Never played IC1, although i was using modded mc back then, it was more Adventure like mods (Tales of kingdoms, TC1/2 ect)

I did, but i don't remember much about the electric minecart as it was very buggy.

Did it blow up when you poked it with a stick?
-
No explosions as far as i remember.
It was like a furnace minecart working with batteries or something like... can't remember very well. -
I think RailCraft may eventually add an electric locomotive. Their train concept seems much more appealing than just simple standalone minecarts imo.

Those things are really cool, although its kinda annoying since you need a constant supply of fuel, so an Electric one would be very cool.

You could use the useless charcoal you get from your Biofuelfactory as a fuelsupply. -
Ah Charcoal, the only time I had to use it was in FTB. as for the suggestion, It would be an excellent addition to IC2. What would make it better is if you could have the option of either below cart rails or a special rail that the cart would be underneath.
