Solar panels are fire and forget, if compared to geothermals.
When the scale of things gets big is where the problem comes.
For example, if you have 10 Ultimate hybrids solar panels (5120 EU/t), to achieve the same with geothermals you need 256 geothermals, consuming 1 lava bucket every 2 ticks.
The nether is lava-plentiful, but it is not infinite , neither is your time to move the pump that often.
Guess why i still prefer my lovely windmills?
Let's see. One USH requires 16 iridium plates. You need 10 USHs. 160 iridium plates.
Simple calculations:
1 bucket worth of uum costs 1666666 -> 1666666 * 42 = 69999972 EU per ONE iridium ore (+ a ton of scrap).
Iridum plate costs 279999888 EU.
Now, you need 160 of these, thus we get 44,799,982,080 EU. 45 Billion EU. FOURTY FIVE BILLION.
I don't even mention scrap and uranium (on hard mode) required for this.
That's why Sentimel decided to add Molecular Transformer to the game.
The ease of spamming ASP solar panels are the OP thing here.

1) Compare resources needed for 1 Geothermal Generator (20 EU/t) and 1 Advanced Solar Panel (8 EU/t). While geothermals produce more, they are million times easier to make than ASPs, ESPECIALLY with GT.
2) Solar Panels produce 8 EU/t when it's day and 1 EU/t when it's raining/night. Geothermals produce 20 EU/t as long as you feed them with lava, which, honestly, is incredibly easy with the lava from nether.
Follow my simple logic here? Spamming geothermals is MUCH more profit and easy than spamming ASPs. And no "but"s.

Not to mention that ASP makes energyextremely fuckingeasy to get through "expensive "panels that can be replicated over and over.
Extremely easy you say? Well, play on any server with GT, (which I guess you did a lot) and understand how freaking difficult it is to get solar panel and how freaking easy it is to get geothermals. You basically spam solars instead of geothermals (while actually reducing lag), and I don't see any OPness here. Maybe I'm blind when things come to OPness, but it is what it is.
By the way, you missed a few zeros there :3, IC² takes 40 buckets of UUM (at LEAST 66 666 640 EU, with shitloads [13360] of scrap + replication cost) to make one iridium. 10M is nothing.

We DID intentionally plan to make iridium not as horrible to get as both of our addons use iridium insanely. Maybe Sentimel will make it a config option, IDK.
Is this for you to adjust the IC2's mining drill or create your own? Unless a few other people could use something like this, it seems a bit overkill verses extending ToolMiningDrill (or whatever that class is called) and overriding needed things

I found it, its not compatible with DartCraft any version.
As people mentioned above, DartCraft does some really weird unknown to me voodoo magic to recipes and I don't want to mess with it.
So, new version is up. Bugfixes, nothing else.

Well, you are actually supposed to always(!) backup your world before updating an old mod or installing a new one, there is always a chance that weird stuff happens and I don't want to be the one who broke your world without telling you to make a backup.
The machine should be working fine (a little primitive, but not malevolent).
Did you forget a super call to super.writeToNBT() in writeToNBT() in your TileEntity class?
And u should change some recipes and usage of XP charger, cuz all of them need to use UU Matter, and in the newest version of IC2 EX, u cant gain UU Matter in survival mode anymore
I got rid of XP Chager. It was way too OP.
The main difficult part here is rendering, not the actual implementation.
It seems that this mod will cause client crash after I setup the forestry 2.3.0.6 mod and Thaumcraft4.I also heared it isn't compatible with NEI 1.6.1.5 too.I hope you can fix it soon.
