I accidentally downloaded Atomic Stryker's for 1.2.5 and I wanted to automate my factory and it didn't work so I got these and never went back to Atomic Stryker's. Also these are better since they accept 128 EU/p.
I agree, as they are in the same style as the original Induction Furnace.
@All Configuration File Problems
You need to delete your GregTech.cfg and GregTech.lang, the config file was split into 4 parts and moved into a folder recently. Your old configuration file will not work anymore.
3-chambers and a bit cheaper.
This is also an option.
Which one is cheaper depends on UU vs EMC. The first costs more EMC, but less UU.
AFAIK EMC won't exist past EE2.
One word I have to say: Shit.
Seriously, 22 Diamonds, for a pathetic EFF 4, 80 EU/t, 6 chamber reactor?
Fail.
Hi Ive been trying to connect an MFE to a rotary macerator via glass fibre but it keeps blowing up when I add power via solar panels. Where am I going wrong? (Also happens with induction furnaces). The only time it does not blow is if i go via a transformer. I thought it was supposed to be able to connect with out one?
thanks Antony
Rotary Macerators don't exist in vanilla IC².
Anyways, the rotMacerator you are using belongs to the Advanced Machines 4.6 addon (not the Advanced Machines Original 1.6 for IC² 1.111 & MC 1.4.4/1.4.5). The machines in there have a maximum voltage tolerance of 32 EU-p, that means they will blow up from a direct connection of Multi-Functional Electricity Unit (MFE) which outputs 128 EU-p.
Got a suggestion: Make a tool which is able to put down liquids from Cells (like lava and water) just like a normal bucket would. For example if you have this tool in your inventory and right click somewhere with a water cell, it would place the water and convert 1 water cell into an empty cell. This would be really nice for carrying stackable lava (or water).
That may make buckets obsolete, since everyone will use cells.
A current portable setup requires 4 items: Liquid Transposers, Cells, Bucket and Redstone Energy Cell, not including the wrench/cresc. hammer to dismantle the TE Machines.
However, I would want to be able to extract all the cells into empty cells, as Water Cells are a nuisance to empty.
did everyone's item ID's just go crazy in 1.4.6? It seems like items are the wrong id's now even from the config lol.
Did you use your /config/GregTech configuration files?
So I quite literally want to take an ore registered into the ore dictionary (in this case, Tungsten ore from redpower 2, verified to be "oreTungsten" in the ore dictionary) and add a macerator recipe, yet no matter where I look I haven't been able to find it!! Any help?
Check this >> tutorial << out on how to use the Ore Dict. Found by googling "Forge Ore Dictionary", 1st entry.
Display MoreI have noticed how many people are assholes to noobs when it comes to block ID conflicts talking about how easy it is to fix it.
Now, the first time I ran into a block ID conflict, I ran into the same situation where they thought I was an idiot. Fortunately, they told me how to fix it anyway.
So to prevent the people from yelling at the noobs and to prevent the noobs from being yelled at, I decided to make a thread about how to identify block IDs in crash reports and how to fix them.
1: If you scroll down on the crash report, you will eventually see the error, which is usually identified as null pointer exception, illegal argument exception, etc. So if it's a block ID conflict, then it will say block ID X is already occupied by Block A (not literally, X and A were used as variables)
Identify which block it is conflicting with and which mod it is coming from. So for example, I had an block ID conflict with gregtech and computercraft, and it said that a gregtech block was trying to occpuy a slot that was already occupied by a computercraft turtle.
2: Go to %appdata%, then roaming, then .minecraft, then config.
3: Find the mods that are conflicting with each other, in the example shown above, it's gregtech and computercraft. Open one of the configs which is conflicting using notepad (so in this case, I can choose to open the gregtech or computercraft config)
4: Find the block ID section. You can use the ctrl F function to find it.
5: change the block ID of the block that is conflicting. By that I mean change the number to something else. Make sure the number is 4095 or less, and ideally, since I think vanilla blocks occupied these slots, 257 or more. That time, I changed the block ID for computers and turtles in computercraft from ~4000 to 500-504 respectively. It is usually a good idea to change the block ID for ALL the blocks in the mod just to be safe.
6: CLose everything, making sure you saved what you did in the config. If the block ID is left blank, it will go back to the default so make sure you actualy inputted a new block Id for the block.
7: If you successfully changed the block ID and the new block ID for the block IDs you changed aren't occupied already, then minecraft will successfully load. If you did change it but got a similar crash report, try changing to a different block ID. If you didn't change it, then GO BACK AND CHANGE THE DAMN THING.
This thread should be helpful for noobs and experts, and I hope people take the time to read this so that there are less crash reports about ID conflicts and yelling.
The first step is applicable only for Windows users. As for Mac/Linux, I don't know how they install mods.
2nd step: I recommend setting block ID's to be after 256. The block ID's you shouldn't use are from 256 - 405 (vanilla items). I recommend allocating at least 10 block ID's for future. You shouldn't also use ID's from 2250 to 2300, those are the music disc. I reserve 25 - 100 block ID's per mod.
I'm having a difficult time finding the 1.4.6 version of this. All I found was 1.111 and the title mentions 1.112. Is 1.112 for 1.4.6?
The 1.4.6 version is under installations. As a requirement, you must first read the text before opening the spoiler and discovering the download link.

Goddamned... FLAME MODE INITIALIZED
CAN'T YOU PEOPLE EVEN RECOGNIZE A FRIKKIN' BLOCK ID CONFLICT? THOSE ARE AS EASY AS SHITTING TO RESOLVE!
I am truly disappointed at the problem that SO MANY CRASH REPORTS are about BLOCK ID CONFLICTS! All you have to do is go into the /config file and CHANGE YOUR ID'S!
but 4=4, not 2, IC2 bronze is unbalanced because 4=2 .
plus the gt configs are not being created for me.
Edit: I see the configs are now in a folder, herp derp, but I still want tin buckets back , but this mod is back in my setup now, I'll NEI in buckets, and NEI out tin for now
A possible way to implement that would be if the option to craft Tin Buckets was enabled in the IC2.cfg file, GT would disable the Alloy Furnace and Macerator uses of Buckets.
Block IDs are cheap. Making blocks with only aesthetic uses is easy. The main problem would be making the textures.
Jivix mentioned that you could have 16 overlay textures, each for one color. Then apply it onto the original texture.
will this work with ic2 1.112 for minecraft 1.4.6
Short Answer: No.
Long Answer: No, Mojang changed the obfuscation.
Alternate Answer: Try it yourself.
Not only am I okay with this, I think it deserves a 'good job, Greg'.
Agreed, that's a very helpful change.
Tip for people wanting to convert ingots to RP version:
Really?! Who in this world that want to write its code in Chinese? In code!
Calclavica? Last time my ICBM crashed, the crash report contained some phonetics of Chinese. I happened to learn some a few years back.
Ok, I'm always game for space stuff, but this definitely feels more like an addon rather than part of the core game (even though I'd love it to be).
But in part that's just because of my ridiculous desire to be put in the most unforgiving environments possible (I play Terrafirmacraft, if you were wondering). I'd like to have to build a spaceship (a FULL SIZE one, too), and have to wait out the days in travel before you get there. Hope you built your spaceship out of good materials, because you might clip a random piece of debris going 85% the speed of light! If you get sucked out (or are just really curious), then you'll find the lack of gravity in space to be very disorienting as your ship continues on without you. And then you'll die, of course.
Those who can wait out the journey and complete it safely can be rewarded with sights unlike anything they've ever seen before (assuming they haven't played Mystcraft, of course). Perhaps some new blocks with novel uses, yadda yadda, for me all the fun is in the technology and the construction and the boring journey in which you try to amuse yourself for an in-game month. ok I'm done.
Dead thread is dead, no need to revive it.
I would like to thank the IC2 team too!
