Hi Ive been trying to connect an MFE to a rotary macerator via glass fibre but it keeps blowing up when I add power via solar panels. Where am I going wrong? (Also happens with induction furnaces). The only time it does not blow is if i go via a transformer. I thought it was supposed to be able to connect with out one?

    thanks Antony

Rotary Macerators don't exist in vanilla IC².
Anyways, the rotMacerator you are using belongs to the Advanced Machines 4.6 addon (not the Advanced Machines Original 1.6 for IC² 1.111 & MC 1.4.4/1.4.5). The machines in there have a maximum voltage tolerance of 32 EU-p, that means they will blow up from a direct connection of Multi-Functional Electricity Unit (MFE) which outputs 128 EU-p.

Got a suggestion: Make a tool which is able to put down liquids from Cells (like lava and water) just like a normal bucket would. For example if you have this tool in your inventory and right click somewhere with a water cell, it would place the water and convert 1 water cell into an empty cell. This would be really nice for carrying stackable lava (or water).

That may make buckets obsolete, since everyone will use cells.

A current portable setup requires 4 items: Liquid Transposers, Cells, Bucket and Redstone Energy Cell, not including the wrench/cresc. hammer to dismantle the TE Machines.

However, I would want to be able to extract all the cells into empty cells, as Water Cells are a nuisance to empty.

So I quite literally want to take an ore registered into the ore dictionary (in this case, Tungsten ore from redpower 2, verified to be "oreTungsten" in the ore dictionary) and add a macerator recipe, yet no matter where I look I haven't been able to find it!! Any help?

Check this >> tutorial << out on how to use the Ore Dict. Found by googling "Forge Ore Dictionary", 1st entry.

The first step is applicable only for Windows users. As for Mac/Linux, I don't know how they install mods.

2nd step: I recommend setting block ID's to be after 256. The block ID's you shouldn't use are from 256 - 405 (vanilla items). I recommend allocating at least 10 block ID's for future. You shouldn't also use ID's from 2250 to 2300, those are the music disc. I reserve 25 - 100 block ID's per mod.

    Here u go

    Failed to start game

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Slot 4095 is already occupied by ic2.core.block.BlockTex@77800ae8 when adding forestry.core.gadgets.BlockSoil@7b926ca5

    Goddamned... FLAME MODE INITIALIZED

CAN'T YOU PEOPLE EVEN RECOGNIZE A FRIKKIN' BLOCK ID CONFLICT? THOSE ARE AS EASY AS SHITTING TO RESOLVE!

I am truly disappointed at the problem that SO MANY CRASH REPORTS are about BLOCK ID CONFLICTS! All you have to do is go into the /config file and CHANGE YOUR ID'S!

but 4=4, not 2, IC2 bronze is unbalanced because 4=2 . plus the gt configs are not being created for me.

Edit: I see the configs are now in a folder, herp derp, but I still want tin buckets back :( , but this mod is back in my setup now, I'll NEI in buckets, and NEI out tin for now

A possible way to implement that would be if the option to craft Tin Buckets was enabled in the IC2.cfg file, GT would disable the Alloy Furnace and Macerator uses of Buckets.

Ok, I'm always game for space stuff, but this definitely feels more like an addon rather than part of the core game (even though I'd love it to be).

But in part that's just because of my ridiculous desire to be put in the most unforgiving environments possible (I play Terrafirmacraft, if you were wondering). I'd like to have to build a spaceship (a FULL SIZE one, too), and have to wait out the days in travel before you get there. Hope you built your spaceship out of good materials, because you might clip a random piece of debris going 85% the speed of light! If you get sucked out (or are just really curious), then you'll find the lack of gravity in space to be very disorienting as your ship continues on without you. And then you'll die, of course.

Those who can wait out the journey and complete it safely can be rewarded with sights unlike anything they've ever seen before (assuming they haven't played Mystcraft, of course). Perhaps some new blocks with novel uses, yadda yadda, for me all the fun is in the technology and the construction and the boring journey in which you try to amuse yourself for an in-game month. ok I'm done.
