Take this setup:

With the chest behind both machines, it can be ejected into by both. Ejector and Pulling upgrades are tried in order that they are in the upgrade slots, meaning you want an ejection upgrade pointing towards the Thermal Centrifuge first, that will export all the Purified Crushed Uranium Ore, and an ejection upgrade pointed towards the chest second to export everything else. A little like this:

Now in the Thermal Centrifuge, all you need is an ejection upgrade pointing towards the chest that will export everything it makes into it. The redstone inverter upgrade is optional, it allows it to stay warm without constantly needing an input.

Obviously the upgrade direction arrows will depend on the orientation of the machines, but the point is so long as you shift right-click them on the side you want to eject out of, this should work fine.

There are other mods like EnderIO and Thermal Dynamics that interact perfectly normally with all those mods as well as IC2, which is where the oddities of the situation lie. Fundamentally without knowing what ProjectRed is doing differently to decide whether to connect or not, it's not really possible to look into anything IC2 is doing and gain any more insight to the problem.

Have you tried from all sides of the IC2 block you're trying to access? All I can think that would logically be going wrong is if it's trying to insert into a side that only exports, or vice versa. But even then, you'd think it would still connect as it would tell it's an inventory.

It sounds like when the block type changes the E-net is losing the registration for the tile entity at the same position. Do you have your code on somewhere like Github? That would probably help in diagnosing further to see what's going wrong.

The whole approach was from a long time ago (that rule was invented in 2011), when IC2 had explicit versions that were released and would be determined to be stable and mostly bug free. As a result it took time to make releases, and it was hard to predict quite when it would all be ready. After a spate of people asking the rule was added to try stop people just constantly asking and drowning out actual useful conversations. It stepped beyond just curious shall we say. The interaction of how development was going wasn't great, Alblaka had a blog but not everyone realised, and it wasn't updated too often which didn't help.

Now there's Jenkins so the waiting between fixes is much shorter (theoretically at least), and so it's not as much of an issue anymore. I've not seen someone banned for it in years. Development still isn't that well explained, but often that's just from the actual process being very sporadic and it slows the process down if time is spent explaining what you're doing rather than just working on getting a build for Jenkins that people can actually play with. Such is the nature of most Minecraft mods at least, it is a hobby at the end of the day which means it can be a bit rough around the edges.

I can't see the older versions working any better, if anything the support should be more likely to work in the newer versions from additions made over time. It might have to be something to ask the ProjectRed people about, we implement ISidedInventory and expose the Item Capability so there isn't anything else obviously missing.

It's here. I can't guarantee the separate versions will get properly mapped if you do use it then update, but for the sake of finding bugs or just having it, it's there.

The breaker switch in IE allows a cable to be attached to either end, and will only let power flow through when it's pressed. Is it something like that (ie a splitter cable with a lever built in) you're wanting?

There's a merged port with Advanced Machines and Gravisuite that was used for BTM, but that's not been split back out yet to allow Advanced Solars to be used on its own.

I meant uranium in the more general sense of fuel rods rather than only uranium fuel rods. If anything it works better with MOX reactors because the designs are more likely to not overvent so the heat will get maintained when it's off.

Divide it by 20, the output is per-second not per-tick as the GUI suggested

Removing registrations is rather hard, and IC2 certainly doesn't do that itself. It could be the mystery NEI bug that forces ore dict recipes to only take one type?

It probably implements things itself so won't pay attention to IC2's own configs, especially since it was written before the config existed.

Quite a bit has been updated over time, so at least it's more likely to apply to modern IC2 than it was a few years ago

I might have a very partial port that you could use, it has the Thermal Monitor among other things, but it's not the world's most stable/reliable depending on what you're trying to achieve.

Not everything can be wrenched to change facing; things like BatBoxes can be to change the output face, but something like a Macerator will always just be picked up when wrenched because it doesn't matter which way it is facing for it to work.

Quick 1.12 port of Advanced Machines, Solars and Gravisuite. In here because it's all bundled up, completely untested yet not (hopefully) highly dangerous to your worlds. Comes with Compact Solars as a bonus.

It might be sided, so you might have to connect the pipes to the top/bottom instead of the sides. Been a while since I used it
