A power extractor would be awsome

The video has reached over 100k views on the first day alone. This is sadly enough proof of how well done the mods in the modpack are. Too bad the yogscast had to pick a shitty ass modpack who's author has no respect for the modders rather than downloading the mods legit.

Emitting power when full while redstone powered is not a bug, it is a tool that allows one to use excess power when needed. I mean I the energy has nowhere else to go. I mean you could power a mass fabricator or even another MFSU on excess power if you wanted to.

Those are part of the notorious secret recipes
Then how come the recipes are on the wiki

to above: yes. btw: these are ores( Copper Ore Tin Ore ) not oars
Stupid spell check.

Looks like alblacka's ban list is about to get really long.

Got an Idea for the wind power would be to create a specialized item called the wind sensor. This Item its self would sense the speed of the wind and could tell you the wind speed when right clicked. When the wind sensor is placed in a slot on a windmill, like how the ores scanners are placed upon miners, it would increase its efficiency and enable the windmill to produce a steady stream of eus {no more fluctuations.} Wind Mill

I like the change to 8 eu per tic. The number 8 is a power of two as is 128 and 512 and other functions of electric power. This makes the power production calculations a little more simple. Solar Panel

here is my base (without TMI usage)
-cactus farm (448 cactus, feeding a recycler with an almost non-stop flow of cactus).

http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/283/20110922234235.png-cobblestone fontain, i didn't find an efficient way to make it works automaticly with some lasers mining i need 3-4 minutes to fill an little chest and then 4 recyclers turn them into scrap in 20 minutes.

-128 eu solar farm, i need a new power grid with msfu now, i'm working on it
wouldn't it be more efficient to use the btw block dispensor to obtain the cobblestone blocks.

Just an FYI you can make industrial diamonds by swapping the obsidian with a machine block or even a Bricks block. This would be a good addition to your diamond factory Compressor.
-
I have to say Zippenus you have my full respect since you were able to work through those bugs within a day.
-
Well the reason I went with glass fiber cables is because it means the recipe requires that you can spare a diamond to make this. Also since solar panels transform the sunlight in to energy and glass fiber cables transmit energy through light I thought it was fitting.
I do like the idea of having an alternate recipe that uses a tier 1 solar panel. It probably wont be that recipe though. I will have to see how I could come close to (or make it just by a little cheaper) than the original recipe.
I already did change the ID to work with rotary macerator add on. Make sure you are using the latest version of this add on.
I agree with icefire use glass fibers in the recipe.
-
Another FYI the Block ID 199 is the same and the block ID as the rotary macerator addon. I have manually changed it but a less technologically savvy individual would not know how to.
512 eu from 4 solar flowers, isn't this awsome -
I LOVE this Idea, a more efficient way to obtain solar power. My only suggestion would be to change the recipe by changing the generator to a T1 solar panel, or at least create another recipe that allows one to craft a T2 solar panel from a T1 solar panel.

hehe, I'm so cheap. I built a contraption that turns Reeds into Diamonds. using EE to coal to industrial Diamonds. Its funny and a little complex. Let me dig up the old save and take a screen shot. I have the math for it somewhere. found it! 100 Sugar cane makes one industrial diamond. through a Series of Auto crafting tables, Macerators, compressors and furnaces.
I love the Let's Play Direwolf. I've been using EE, BC, IC2 and RP on my worlds for a good while and thought they would make a good let's play. glad you did it. There are a few things from IC2, RP and EE that you haven't hit on yet that I think people would find interesting. For Instance the Hacksaw stuff from RP you can use in designing houses and making them look pretty and you can cut glass blocks down and 4x your supply for windows AND they are recoverable.
Dude that's hella smart, a lot smarter than my automatic cobblestone farm. Maybe my farm produces 64 cobblestone every 2 seconds and is able get one diamond out of 4 stacks of cobblestone, but hell your factory is more efficient and does not bring your FPS down to 2.
-
Why not get the Equivalence Exchange IC2 patch. This lets you turn Tin and Copper into Iron with a 1:1 ratio.
-
So it would be like the Induction furnace or the Rotary Macerator for the compressor? If so I would like it to have two slots instead of one in a similar fashion to the Induction furnace.
-
Needs less TMI, I think.
Not just TMI he also probably used MC-edit, thats how he got such a large area of land flat. Plus e probably used the MC-edit clone tool to make the solar panel fields so large.

dude nice solar farm

Thanks The rotary macerator is working well now. Everyone please make sure to download the latest version of java, even if it isn't Java SE.
Now could someone make a patch that allows the macerator to work with BC pipes and adds two output slots.
