Why, you can already grow charcoal?

Wouldn't it be cool to create a blueprint specifically designed to create rubber trees. It would make getting rubber more efficient later in the game. My proposed recipe would no be cheap by any means though, for it would require 8 rubber tree saplings. The result would be a large pocket of densely spaced rubber trees.

S S S
(S=Rubber tree sapling; T=empty TFBP)best of luck

it would bee cool if you could write simple programs on the computer to control machines for instance when it turns night time to be able to turn down the amount of energy flowing through the pipes when it turns night. This could say preserve the energy collect from solar generators when they don't produce enough to compensate.

dude this is an awsome mod.
Could you also code it so that if you set off a stick of dynamite in the water a bunch of dead fish will rise to the surface. that would be awsome -
there already is a way to obtain ice in industrial craft, by compressing snow. I don't think you will be able to convince alblacka to create an ice machine because there are a plethora of other features that are a little more important. but hell there is a freezer in the aether mod.

Below i have updated the crafting recipe for the iridium stone block and submitted two additional recipes for the iridium door and the iridium glass.

"Charcoal, in fact, used to be able to be macerated into coal dust. Al has removed that since he wanted coal to have value again, and so one could not "grow" diamonds.
Thread closed."
This is what Adien_Alexander a prominent member of the IC forums said the lase time someone suggested macerating charcoal.
Like your enthusiasm but next time could you please do your research.Link:

Or how about instead of your rotary macerator getting faster getting more efficient, by producing more oar dust per oar block. this would in the long run make the maceration process faster because it would yield more products in the same amount of time. Or in other words the oar dust per second ratio would be greatly improved.

here is a possible recipe

yea I like the idea of making biofuel out of vines, why not also add obtaining gravel from stone bricks and a way to get saplings from leaf blocks.
-
maybe you could use seeds and dirt instead of lapise and glow dust, kinda like you're making a compost.
Edit: Or as an alternative, we could combine saplings with sticky resin/rubber to make a sticky sapling, then compress it into a rubber tree sapling
the problem with the sticky sapling is that while it is a good Idea i want to be able to craft all types of saplings

what miners can now take bedrock?

I think there should be a combo of robots that spawn when they sense the the technology that could potentially harm them and boss dungeons similar to the aether.

dude there already is a mod with conveyor belts its called factory craft.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/…factory-reloaded-112-smp/
plus you could use water to push the items and piston to raise the items up.
-
so i guess my idea for a tiered macerator is still out too
-
sry you do not like my Idea. I see what you mean, 1 macerator produces 2 items and the IN furnace has 2 slots so therefore if the macerator an the IN furnace were going at the same speed then they would mach up perfectly.
second if a fourth tier was added you could keep up with the IN furnace in half the speed.
but hey does anybody else like my idea
-
No, not more efficient. Just fast one.
Now we have an awesome induction furnace with the amazing smelting speed, but... You should macerate the ores first. Macerator is good, but it is very slow. Yes, you can use two, four, eight of them, but it is not very comfortable. And if you want to build an automatic factory (with buildcraft), there are no easy way to split ores evenly between some macerators (and you should use a set of macerators for each type of ore), so i think, we need an advanced one.I love the Idea of an advanced macerator that grinds faster but you see I don't exactly want to copy the idea for the induction furnace. How cool would it be if the macerator could give you more bang for your buck, or in other words more ore dust per oar block.
My idea is simple, start out inefficiency and become more efficient as the macerator gets faster.
- level one, get one oar dust per oar block
- level two, get two oar dust per oar block
- level there, get three oar dust per oar block
There would be only three levels of speed so as not to make it too much more efficient. The recipe would be simple, very similar to the induction furnace but would include diamonds and obsidian( the hardest and the sharpest objects) instead on copper.

O A o{O=obsidian; D=diamonds; M=macerator; A=advanced machine}

Im sorry but alblacka has already said specifically that he did not want reusable cells.
"Cells were coded to be cheap one-use containers, for the sake of simple, stackable coding. No further discussion."-Alblacka

you know what, you are right, glow stone and lapis lazuli do not make any sense, scratch that from my post.
