You could make the tree farm completely self contained by using EE to fabricate apatite, but so much to do, so little time. I'm kinda like you, I start a bunch of minecraft builds and run around tending to my nuclear reactor and my taint tanks from thaumcraft. Often one goes boom.....

Hang on a mo, just need to get my sticky dynamite. I wish there was a script in the forums that auto senses and rejects your suggestion before you post it by sensing the title. Then I wouldn't have made my own crappy suggestion... I guess a sense of humour is a delicate thing to handle.

Hey, all. I hate to say this, but my current research jobs leave me with about half the free time I need for my hobbies. Since I haven't invented time travel yet, I have to lay a few projects on the chopping block, Rocket Science included.

If any serious modders out there want to take over RS, I'd be more than willing to pass on the source code. Misspelled requests from users without Java/Minecraft modding experience will be ignored or mocked.

Aw, okay. But endeavoring in science and making real discoveries is more important than having us discover your awesome mod. I think it would be worth learning how to code just to upkeep this for myself.... ;( Goodbye.....

Yeah, I learned that being the funny guy is a bad idea.

I don't find these remotely funny, and i bet alblaka will think the same.

There was already a "Funny guy" who tried to do a suggestion about some sort of cattle rod but instead he put on the title "lightning rod", First tread was deleted without warning, second thread was locked and the funny guy was almost banned.

    .

If the side on the Mountain, doesnt has mininglaserproof Walls like Obsidian or RF-Stone, then the bottomside has more chances, to hit because its easier to Aim, if there is no Block right in front of your sightrange

The Block (Rubbersheet) is in the view of the Mountainplayer, while shooting downwards, and because the Block is nearer to the Mountainplayer, he has more problems to aim, than the far away Groundplayer.

I haven't thought of that. Interesting.

From what I understand, entities can only take damage every so often. If say, a nuke was triggered, and you wanted to stay alive for some reason, could you continuously set off ordinary dynamite or have a buddy keep punching you, and survive? This is just a thought experiment, as the time would probably be one in a 9001.

"stack their way up"? It's a mining laser. I'll assume both sides have Lap-Packs.
anyway: set to long range and blast away.. no need to worry about pesky terrain getting in the way.

I meant putting down blocks to climb the hill with. But yeah, I hadn't really thought about long range mode. However, the laser moves slow enough to be dodged. I was thinking of a mountain-biome combat scenario, in which one of the teams is trying to storm the other position. I do suppose in that kind of scenario you would pull out a nanosaber. Has anyone been in the field and dubbed sniping practical? Because I never really liked the fact that that the long range won't one shot at long range. :P

Say two sides are fighting with IC mining lasers. Normally when fighting, going downhill gives crits. I am willing to guess that even mining lasers don't give crits, the uphill fighters still have the advantage. The downhill fighters would have to jump and leap and stack their way up, reducing the amount of time for shooting. The uphill fighters can simply charge downhill, and wear a cheap pair of rubber boots to negate most of the fall damage. Am I right?

Also, would this apply to fighting while jetpacking? The jetpack doesn't let the user equip a batpack or a lappack. It is hard to aim when jetting up and down randomly, but it is also hard to be hit. I guess you could put hover on, strike with some explosive shots, and un hover and dart out of enemy fire.

HAH, nice. as to #4, that was my first thought as well when I started a game with thaumcraft. Wondered what an XP orb was doing flying about. Sounds like it was a good thing I missed when I took a swing at it. (I build a stone sword farily early)

Yeah, I didn't even have a sword at the time. Take note future warriors of minecraftia. Ground troops are completely ineffective against air troops if the ground troops don't have ranged support and or weapons.
