    HAH, nice. as to #4, that was my first thought as well when I started a game with thaumcraft. Wondered what an XP orb was doing flying about. Sounds like it was a good thing I missed when I took a swing at it. (I build a stone sword farily early)

    Teleport tethers are working with Frames (see Direwolf20)


    plus even if world anchors don't work (like say.. you don't have the TP tethers installed) you could possibly put an anchor cart on the frame contraption.
    though i'm not sure if frames works with minecarts.

    I used to use abuse -at- localhost.usps.gov for places I know never had a verification step and knew would spam the hell out of you.

    The cropmatron keeps using EU even if there is no fertilizer, weed-ex or hydration cells inside. 8|
    Because of that, it never seems to reach the powered state (the little flash icon in it's GUI never turns red). Have 2 cropmatrons with 1 solar panel connected to each one.


    It takes 1 EU/t to power itself... you do the math.

    Never, I get past generators as fast as possible.
    I usually end up with one of 4 scenarios depending on stuff:


    1: Solar (most frequent occurrence here)
    2: Wind (haven't done any since the world height)
    3: Geothermal (depends on lava sources)
    4: Nuclear (namely, an auto-shutoff CASUC system that fills 4 MFSUs)


    only done #4 once but it worked great while I was still playing that world. The ~256 solar panel worth I had at that point went straight to the mass fab.
    my latest world I just went with mr. old standby solar. Had 4 geothermal and a scrap system that lasted just long enough to get me a q-suit set. Had 2 BC tank from sea level to max height, one full, another mostly full.

    I seem to be on a different server than you, spawnx. Actually am limited to 64 green generators including redpower generators- anything you can't turn off (and things you can turn off, need to be off when you log off).


    Greg- are those batboxes or low voltage transformers? Do low voltage transformers work as repeaters, like batboxes?


    any transformers will do such. for copper cable it's LV, for glass fiber it's HV. You shouldn't need two back to back.

    goes for any "laptop" really. they aren't meant to be used on laps anymore as anything that gets them really working will make them kick off tons of heat.


    I've got a midrange (probably approacing low-mid but it was inexpensive) gaming laptop (lenovo Y570) and when I really get that thing working it'll kick off quite a bit of heat from the left vent.

    heh, this. I do mining with the arcane bore anymore. More efficient and it grabs any crystals. Haven't gotten frames involved yet though. Can't quite get an inchworm drive figured out. (ideally i'd like a self-contained mining sled that can inch itself along)

    My Forestry stuff LIVES on logistic pipes. Everything is automated - except upgrading my iron chests when they get full, terminus module not working properly -_-


    Yeah, terminus modules are a bit odd. I found they don't work right with basic pipes and a terminus, they have to be used in conjunction with an item sink or a polymorphic item sink module in a chassis pipe. They should work like that though, they have been for me one I made that change.


    But yeah.. logistics pipes make forestry a lot less annoying, just fire and forget level.


    Though I will admit to building a RP2+forestry contraption just because. Namely, a set of 5 biogas engines powered by the milk from one cow. (and several buckets of lava to kick them off) Free energy! :) Though as my friend said: "I think the cow would disagree"

    Personally for peat engines I find buildcraft indispensable and much easier due to the logistics pipe addon. set up a chest for ash and peat, mark the pipe(s) as such then just put provider pipes on the back of the engines and set them to provide 5 peat per engine.


    after a while you'll be swimming in ash. You'll also be swimming in peat unless you run 9 or 10 engines per bog. (I run 9 and get a surplus, haven't tried 10 yet)

    I know that paranoid five Layers are enough to keep an unconfigurated Explosion inside the RF-Stonehull, but i still NEED THE MATH OF THAT!!!

    not without spending hours coming through the decompiled source, which your welcome to do yourself but your not going to find anyone else doing it for you if your going to be that much of an ass about it.


    2 layers is enough for a full CASUC explosion if your careful enough, take it or leave it.
