One of your other mods uses an outdated IC²-API. F.e. TC. Delete it's IC-folder.
or just update it. TC's up to 2.1.4 now and it's been working great here.

I use Magic Launcher. You just need to click the "Add" button and select the industrialcraft-2-client_1.95.jar file but make sure it's placed below ModLoader and Forge (click Up and Down buttons if you need to).
Very bad idea there. IC2 isn't mean to be installed in the jar, it's supposed to go in the mods folder.
No C/C++! Everything i know, which is written in that, crashes randomly for no important reason (especially most of the Computergames)
Than your doing something wrong, likely with memory management. Only problem I had was the dreaded semicolon I kept forgetting to use. Random error 2-4 lines down leaving you going "WTF"?
I agree, I'll be excited when someone writes a python interpreter for the red power computer.
Probably not going to happen, not a fast enough CPU for something like that.
best I could see would be a C compiler but I wouldn't hold out much hope there either.
Alblaka
Programming in forth is a pain, can you pleeeeeeeeeeease add ComputerCraft to the list of allowed mods.
Or maybe I'll try the whole thing with just redpower logic...
no kidding... some of us can't get our head wrapped around RPN (Reverse Polish Notation) and the language designed around it (forth)
If it happens again, try pressing alt a few times
yeah.. that old windows centric "bug", you'll want to press both alt keys a few times.
Can also happen to the shift and windows keys. I seem to run into it with annoying frequency.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be more energy efficient to transmit the EV current directly and convert to HV/MV/LV closer to the compressors?
Also, how does the snow farm work?
nope. 4x cabling loses 1 EU/t for every block. Glass fiber loses 1 every 39 or 40 blocks (I forget the exact number, I usually stop at 38 to be sure)
so if one wants no loses than you use 1 4x cable and then a HV transformer and glass fiber from there.
Thanks for the update.
Looking forward to trying this once I figure out if I can wait for AdditionalBuildObjects to update...
check the thread: it's already been updated and has been for a long while. (since longer than IC2 had a 1.2.5 version)
both having the same Name and size so which is the right one?
Edit: Hey the "public releases"-thread has still the wrong one!
yeah.. if one is going to announce a hotfix then make sure it's there.
edit: anyway, saw elsewhere that the wiki has the correct download link.
What server are you on? Also what type of system are you using? If your using snowmen there is a chance that the server admin is using a mod to kill server intensive activity (namely by destroying all the mobs).
not to mention that snowmen don't leave snow behind so block breakers + snowmen don't work anymore.
Please have a look if it's better with this build:
http://player.to/ic2/industrialcraft-2-client_1.95.jar
http://player.to/ic2/industrialcraft-2-server_1.95.jar
well, it solved the issues I was having in this thread so thanks for the update.
NOOOOOO!!!! Make it 1.2.5! IC2 has updated to 1.2.5 and while I certainly understand the frustration of keeping up with crap, the higher world heights will make the rockets great!
psst: even 1.2.3 had the higher world heights.
pretty much the same error here upon loading up a 1.2.3 world. If I start a new world fresh there's no problems.
load up the world again and whamo, half my base is gone and the chunk got reset. Thankfully I do have backups.
edit: move myself off in the distance some with MCedit and I still get a reset chunk where my base was.
Updated to IC2 v1.95!
Nice! That was fast, thanks for the quick update.
what version of RP2/IC2 are u using? coz in my case, i can't seem to connect the pneumatic tubes to reactor chamber (using technic pack build 6.0.7) for minecraft 1.1. i can only do the 5-chamber version. is there any way to unlock the 6th chamber?
sure, step 1: get rid of technic
2: install the 1.2.5 versions of the mods you want yourself
3: use 6 chambers.
It is possible to work around this bug. Just never stop cooling you reactor, and it will not blow up. You do need an active cooling system for this to work, of course....
yeah.. even on SSP I never turn the cooling system off on the ice CAUSC I build. Don't see the point when RP2 tubes are intelligent enough to not send more into a full reactor.
Tangent alert! (sortof, it is a pr5 thread)
anyone seen a good forth guide as it's related to redpower computers?
I am a programmer but i'm still trying to wrap my brain around forth. RPN gives me a headache.
failing that, i'm wondering if anyone's going to do a redpower 6502 c compiler.
in other news: Eloraam really needs her own forums for redpower, it's nearly impossible to find anything in that thread.
Usually I don't listen to music but have something playing (youtube vid I downloaded, actual tv show, etc..) on the home theater machine to my left.
however when there's nothing like that I turn to rockradio1 (streaming internet station)
Display MoreNope that will not happen, if i'm going right then Frames are not able to fly and need at least one Block which supports them. But i'm sure i can get it to fly with some
BugsTricks. (Bugs are not possible in RP)
Edit:
I just realised that Buildcraft is no longer needed, if IC², RP and CC are installed
BC-Pipes => RP-Tubes
BC-Pumps => RP-Pumps
BC-Quarrys => RP-Frames + RP-Blockbreakers
BC-Builder/Filler => RP-Frames + Deployers or you write a CC-Turtleprogram for building Structures
BC-Logic => RP-Logic
BC-Energy => without the Stuff from above its no longer needed
BC-Oil => IC² is not even compatible with it, so why do i need it
So what is BC used for?
Nope.. Buildcraft still has one big huge use: Logistics pipes. Easy autocrafting of anything you care to teach the system. Can't play without them anymore.
Plus an architect table and builder still looks several tons easier to use vs. frames.
