thank you for bringing the TRUE advanced machines back instead of an abomination with a stolen title.
Thank you for saving us from a certain ASs.
I just wanted to echo these sentiments. Thanks for doing this!

That they appear inferior to you is a PERSONAL OPINION, to be KEPT TO YOURSELVES.
Welcome to an Internet discussion forum, where that's NOT how it works. You aren't the arbiter of who can say what around here - people get to express their opinions even if you don't like it.
Don't go around acting like you're an admin here - you speak for no one but yourself. You don't dictate forum policy - you don't even get to control what's said in this thread.
Clear enough?

No
GTFOWow. That's really grown up. Why did you single out me, in particular? Have I complained about your mod in any way? I merely noted that you lack maturity - and this just proves it.
Sorry that you have such a thin skin - need a tissue?

Great idea for an add-on! I'll be using it. Thank you!

Very nice update. Additive macerating is a simple but brilliant idea. Well done. I may have switched over to this version because of this update if you hadn't immediately followed up by insulting a large portion of your potential userbase. Adding cool stuff like this is how you bring people over to your vision of the mod, not calling them whiners and saying they don't deserve it because they wanted a choice.
Well said. Being able to accept criticism with grace is a mark of maturity. I suppose some people expect to be lionized for anything they do, and anyone who doesn't like it must hold their tongue.
I think the additive macerating is also a great idea! Now if AS can just modify his attitude too...

I couldn't give you the exact amount, but overheated engines draw more power to do the same amount of work.

1) Wrong section - try "Suggestions" (imagine that!)
2) Fuel doesn't make plastic, though crude oil could be used for that.
3) If crude is used for plastic, that would be a BuildCraft add-on.
4) There's already a mod called PlasticCraft that's got most of that covered.
tl;dr: Wrong place for this idea.

Why Alblaka? He didn't write it, it's not his add-on.

Thanks, cpw, for giving us the choice. Haters gonna hate, but we are grateful for your effort.

Well first of all, you're breaking Wheaton's Law .
I most certainly am not. I'm responding to the actual violator of the law. I merely asked him to support his opinion. I'm not the one who wishes to make things so that there's only one way.
If he feels they're OP, he's welcome to not use the add-on and do it the old-fashioned way. I think Wil would agree that his law more aptly applies to those who would decide how others should play their game, don't you agree?
I really question the necessity of your posts ._. You post your opinion and no one may criticise it. Makes no sense to me. I would mark it as spam.
I agree with this completely. I'm tired of people who expect their opinion to be sacrosanct, yet are unwilling to consider the opinions of others.

The best way is to wander around with a scanner until you find a good concentration below you, and set up a miner. When it's done, pull the pipe and fill the hole with dirt. then go back down in the hole and look around where it's branched off to mine. Very often, you'll find more goodies just outside the 9x9 area it's mined.
The benefit of a miner over hand mining is that the miner will never miss anything in its scan range. And it'll still work quicker than mining a 9x9 hole down to bedrock with a pick. Power supply shouldn't really be an issue. When I started using a miner, I typically powered it with an MFE, moving the miner and pump around each side of it. This will let you cover an entire chunk before needing to move the MFE.

So wait... your issue with solars is that they are overpowered, not because of the materials needed, but because of the space?
So you'd rather have a solar array taking up space... for what reason? You;'d rather have each panel updating the eNet separately and lagging out the server and the game?
Ummm... OK? You do that. Glad that your opinion isn't the final word.

Yeah, I was never big on enchanting and potions and dragons. Even the Nether was kind of beyond the underlying theme of the game.
The idea of going from a castaway with nothing, to shaping the world in your own image... that's far more appealing. There's a natural progression from punching trees to automated machinery.

Oh, you are correct. My apologies. It's mentioned explicitly in the original post.
In that case, I revise my diagnosis of what you did wrong to "didn't read the OP and expected it to work in SMP regardless of what's clearly stated."
-
Glad to have been of assistance. I'll download it now and gived it a look!
-
No, I'm sorry. I can't give you any useful suggestions based on the information you have provided.

Sorry, my reply was directed to the post prior to yours. You were submitting your message at the same time.

I have a problem using the advanced machines(not the solar arrays) on SMP on my own private server. They don't get any energy and if I try to put items in them(I simply click on them without right-/shiftclicking), the item that I had held before disappears and I hold a part of my armor. If I close the GUI the item is back again. In Singleplayer everything works fine. What did I do wrong?
Sounds like the GUI IDs on your config don't match the server's GUI IDs for those items. -
I think the sprite posted above is right on - I was hoping it would be implemented in 1.70
