    its not really OP compared to other stuff people would want to pin point uranium is only used in an already every expensive power generator and weapons that are contraband on most servers if he wanted something to home in on iron then i would have called OP on this.

    it is very OP, sure other people might want even more OP stuff but it's not implimented. and yes, nukes are banned on most servers, nuclear reactors aren't because they usually greatly help a server if the person isn;t a complete idiot and blowing up every other reactor that they make. also keep in mind that uranium cannot be made, fabircated or generated in any way. Iron can be made from UUM, 5 UUM=2 iron ore. if you could hone in and track down Uranium you could use 4 uranium to make like 10 ores from the matter allone from the 24 million EUs that those 4 uranium could make, or 30 copper/tin. or whatever else they needed, so this "Uranium Detecctor" is more of a "Anything i really need" detector. Uranium is ment to be rare and hard to find because of this ability / power, if you make this power overly easy to aquire and use then it becomes Over Powered. so sorry this idea is OP and not approved in my opinion.

    or we could use the electrolizer to make new metals for higher tiered stuff later at some point, like putting iridium plates in an electrolizer and after a few million EUs are put in it (no way to add items like scraps to speed it up) it would create an Electrolized Iridium Plate, maybe for making better Static Boots, or when Static Pants that recharge at a very excellerated rate but require almost the same materials as the Quantum legs, so you can either run faster when you sprint, to recharge your chest at like 128 EU/t when you sprint and 10eu/t when you walk, these however provide as much protection as leather.

    also maybe make Efficiency Generator called a Autmospheric Static to Ground generator. this would be made from 4 Electrolized Aluminium Ingots, 4 copper ingots and generator. this would generate power equal to the number of machines and playersin a 9by9 area, and the state of the weather. they would create more EUs when in a tundra biome since static of always worst in cold climates with low humidity. for each player in the area it would generate 1 eu/t, for each machine that's working it would generate .25eu/t, when it's raining you'd get 2eu/t and when it's a thunderstorm you'd get 5eu/t. so if you have 1 player, 4 machines in thunderstorm it would generate 7eu/t. or if there was not a player in the 9 by 9 area and your machines are off or done then it would not generate anything. so this would mainly be when a player is in their Workshop working on stuff or when they are AFK.

    or even use it to make rust from iron bars and then use rust and biofuel to make Ferrofluid Cells, these could be used as an advanced type of Nuclear Reactor Coolant Cell. basically how these work is the tiny particles of iron are magntized to a higher heat resistance material and they disperse heat to the iron particles suspended in the fluid, once they iron hits a certain temperature they are no longer magnetic and the colder more magnetic particles get attrached and push the hot iron way from the dispenser and unltimatly to the back end of the Feerofluid coolant cell where there is either a coolant device or it stays there till it cools off. this is how Ferrofluid actually works and is used in stuff like megaphones. these could provide 1 coolant at low temperatures and 3 coolant at higher temperatures, this would make breeder reactors alittle easier. (kind of like the Molten Coolant Cell idea but alittle more realistic)

    or maybe even an Elctrostatic Dummy. an Electrolizer, a magnetizer, and a pumpkin on top, contructed like a Snow Golem, is a stationary non moving construction, basically nothing special like a functioning defender, just a plain old "block on block construction. however: this would cause enemies to swarm around it thinking it is a player, or that there is a player under it. you could use these to lure enemies away from your base as long as it sees the Dummy first and not you. since the undead are supposibly drawn to the living by static electricity whether is it brainwaves or the brain sending signals to the muscles, or whatever it is that makes then detect living creatures, and skeletons can't even see so i'm sure they work similar, spiders are stupid and can't see properly, and creepers don't care if they die so they would rush in and explode on it.... on that note they should be blast resistant, not blast proof, but resistant atleast.

    alright then lets keep this in an industrial fashion, you use a compressor and it require 8 dusts to make 1 block. this can also be used as a "Fuel" in machines to provide 8-16 operations. can be placed as a lightsource then constantly emits 7, and emits 15 when it it touched or a redstone current is applied. the main reason i thought of this idea was to store redstone dust since IC2 uses so much of it. i'm constatly having chests upon chests full of RS dust or when i'm mining my inventory fills up with it and i can't compress it to make room for more. my inventory will be like 2 stacks of tin, 1 of iron, a few diamonds and like 10 stacks of redstone dust. but i don;t want to throw it out since IC2 will require all of that in like the next 2 hours for me usually. also you could use these Compressed Redstone Blocks and 1 diamond to make energy crystals. to break these blocks you can either macerate them for 8 or place them and break them manually for 5-7. there, it was kept industrial :)

    honostly FenixR, i'm on your side here pretty strongly, i mean why isn;t there a way to reclaim your dyes from something, specially sheep. so how about this,
    Extract= white Wool
    compressor=Dye Color
    Macerator=string (already done)

    also you people say "unlimited dye" like it's neccisarrily a bad thing. first off how do we get green dye? an "Unlimited Cactus Farm" how do we get black dye. squid farm of a mere 5 matter for 48 black dye. for do we get red and yellow dye? flowers which are easy to mass produce in large quantities with incredible ease. Lapis, 4 matter makes 9. (blah blah blah) ect...

    so i see absolute no problem on being able to pull a color of dye from wool which would take even more effort then the other alternatives and this would allow the only means of being able to harvest Cocoa Beans for Brown dye. in order to dye our CFoam Brown. this is the only reason i haven't completely reconstructed my yards from CFoam is because i can;t paint stuff like tree trunks and dirt blocks with a brown dye.

    any it's not like you can go off and make end game equipment with 640 Ink sacks. i mean hell, it's not even a good means of getting scrap. i found a rediculous easy method of getting scraps, all you do is take a mining laser set at long range, go under ground, look up and shoot like a mad man, you get like an entire inventory of cobble and other materials every 15 seconds. so would you rather farm wool for like 2 hours for dye for a stack of scrap. or spend 10-15 seconds shooting off a mining laser? hell even if reclaiming dye from wool at a 100% chance would be a waist of time apart from exotic colored dye farming

    Colorpack is usefull so i don't have to carry 9 Painters in my Hotbar.

    so yeah, a PaintPack that we can fill with a stack (64) of a color and get a few thousand uses of it. OR be able to make Paint grenades using an Empty Cell, a Dye Color, and a gunpowder. that when thrown, colors a 9by9by9 area that specific color. also make them able to be thrown as far as an egg. going to edit this in the OP.

    as everyone has mentioned, yes, luminators are being reworked, ther are like 5 other ideas that have been tossed around. secondly there is a Search Bar for a reason, if you type "luminator" you'll probably get like 20 pages of posts and threads, please use it. if you can even think of an idea, think to yourself "why is this not in the game?! why hasn't anyone suggested this?!" because they more then likely have. also don't mind FenixR, there is a reason he was dubbed Certified Asshole of the IC2 Forums. well... welcome to the forums :thumbup:

    someone had already suggested this about 2 weeks ago. they have anything from attachable Hoppers to input materials, to automated stoarge bins, and waste catchers that gave additional materials like macerating ores would also yield sand or cobble as waste, and geothermals would yield cobble and sometimes obsidian. personally i think that was a better idea, specially with the current upgrades. just think about having a Macerator with 10 overclockers in it with a Large chest attached for ores, another large check for finished materials, a waist bin collecting extra cobble and sand to put into a recycler, or even a recycler on the bottom of it to recycle the cobblestone you get from the ores. currently we could even have all this already set up. it would just require alittle extra coding. like having a personal chest on the left allows it to macerate good from that chest. when it completes a process it would spit items into a person chest to the right. and if you put a recycler under the macerater then it have a 50% chance of a cobble appearing in it once a macerator completes a process. and there you have it. :)

    i see no problem with this we already have a general ore detector after all

    yes but there is a pretty big difference. lets say you needed 1 metal ball bearing and i had thousands of sacks of marbles. the metal ball bearing is REALLY rare in this case and is worth thousands of dollars. would you take each bag and pick it up and be like "ok this bag has about 40 marbles, some are small, some are alittle bigger, let's check it... no metal ball" or would you "cheat" and as soon as i turn my back would you pull out a huge magnet and start pin pointing every back at 1/100th of the time? so yes, this detector is OP.

    we need a Backpack like the CF Backpack but for Paint. recoating 8-16 paint rollers constantly when painting large structures is a bit much. even if it only stored 1024 uses it would make me incredibly happy.

    Edit: or! Paint Grenades! made with 1 Dye, 1 gunpowder, and an Empty cell. these would explode on impact and can be thrown as far as an Egg, when it comes in contact with a block it paints a 9by9by9 area around it. these would also stack up to 64.

    Weird side effects from using it? IMPLEMENT IT AND DON'T FIX TEH BUX!!!!11!!11!

    you miss understand sir, there are issues and problems trying to code slowing down and speeding up time. i DO NOT want to control time. i want to simply skip the night cycle as such is done with beds, this causes no glitches, issues, bugs, or anything of that sort and is incredibly easy to code. so you fail. please learn to read the post in it's entirety.

    Give it whatever flavour you like, the bottom line is beds aren't industrial/futuristic enough, and are begging for a blast of HAYO!

    an even better idea!!!! a "bed" that can be laid in at any point in time, doesn;t matter, day or night. but it considers you in bed while your in it healing. this way players could AFK in their houses to keep their machines running while they heal and are not inconveniencing the other players when they are trying to sleep to make it day :D and it does not kick you from it once it is morning.

    Would be cool if redstone block permanently send a light level of 8 and when stepped a light level of 15. so your house wont spawn mobs (if your floor is made of it) and will light up when you get in

    that indeed would be awesome and the best idea ever, and maybe have it so if a redstone current is directly applied to it then it also activates to light level 15?. you could use it like that as a "dimmer" for some rooms in the house :D and then apply current to turn the lights all the way up :D

    only time i make UUM into coal for fuel is in Outposts where i only have a generator and not something like a single chamber nuclear reactor to toss in 1 uranium cell.
    interesting, didn;t know you could make torches with resin, thanks for the info.
    diamonds: i know but sometime you only neext like 1-3 coald to finish a diamond being made from coal and i figured it'd be cheaper.
    i agree, or make solar panels better when using Coal Clumps instead of coal dust. but i know solar panels are being reworked for lag reasons.
    i don't recal ever hearing lava, i've heard water plenty of times but i don;t think i've ever heard lava. but now i also play with my sound completely off because of IC2 machines being annoying and causing lag in large nubers. specially recyclers and windturbines.

    apart from the 9<->1 and the last thing you said, were all the exact same stuff i did just in a different way. but yes, have the Redstone blocks activated when touched, not just stepped on. stepped on was just the most common. i've wanted "step on light up" block since MC Alpha. i wanted to make a floor out of Redstone Ores in my house just to run across.

    I'm pretty sure the only use for UUM coal is to make Carbon plates, nothing else. So don't compare it with charcoal/diamond.
    I agree with little increase to 4 or 6

    perhaps it is only used for carbon plates... an coal fuel cells... and super fuel.. and solar panels, and emergency torches if you happen to have some UUM on you. and i said diamonds because i know ALOT of people use coal for diamonds instead of going down deep an mining for them since they have Magmaphobia ^^

    also i don't know about you but i use ALOT of carbon plates making advanced machines, especially MFSs and MassFabs and nano-armor for people who died for really stupid reasons.

    I agree with making it a block, and logics, but no need to use macerator/compressor.

    RRR
    RER = Redstone block (it can be turned back into 8 dusts only by crafting)
    RRR

    R = redstone dust
    E = Empty

    very well, Simply Compression method of Everything else. now should we only use 8 in a circle or stick with the general "fill in the whole 3 by 3 grid" method? presonally i prefer 8 becuase you can make and break stacks evenly.
