Can you add GregTech superconductor to your recipes, I think the name in the ore dictionary is itemSuperconductor? Your superconductor can be used in his recipes but not the other way.
Woot!?! Really? Awww.

^ Now that's odd, I looked at the patch where Buildcraft got Forge ID Resolver and it looked exactly like I was doing it -- just Configuration.getBlock("key", default_value). Mind, I haven't checked for any changes to that since, but yeah.
Hey, Greg, would you write a short thread in Addon Discussion explaining the use of Forge ID Resolver, as well as a few common mistakes in implementing it? I'd really appreciate your knowledge on the subject.
Let me guess. BC uses the Config inside the Block Constructor or constructs the Block inside the preload phase, right? If yes, then thats the failure. I did that once too, and seemingly with no Problems, but then I got many reports about this exact Issue, changed it to read the Config in preload and construct the Blocks/items in load, and it was fixed.
Basically it must be done this way:
preload: get Values from Config
load: initialize Blocks and Items
V2.53c:
Added some ToolTips.
Made Autocrafting Table a bit more intelligent.
Fixed some Bugs.
Crafting paper should be a more complex operation that putting three sugar canes next to each other.
How about adding a pulp mill and paper machine to GregTech? Maybe a multiblock that requires water, chemicals and EU to turn any kind of cellulose material (sugar cane, wood, wool, etc) into a new material, pulp. Then a paper machine to turn the pulp to paper. Just an idea.
Sawmills are already planned to be added soon. Including Wood Pulp as byproduct and the requirement of Water.
Can you add all 60k coolant cells to the ore dictionary, so all can be used to make the cooling core and stuff for Gravi Suite?
Yes I can.
I will add it as "60kCoolantStore". But I wont use that Entry for my own Recipes, as they are either needing one special type of Cell or a unified type of Cell (Superconductor).
Block ID error, it's a simple fix, look at the first line
specifically Slot 4095 is already occupied, then check the mod that errored
In this case IC2, this means that you go into the config file of the block that is occupying the space (buildcraft) and you change it to something under 4096. Repeat until the errors stop.
if its always Slot 4095, which is occupied (seen it a couple of times), then Buildcraft has a SERIOUS BUG. I'd suggest to bug its maintainer and not the IC²-Forum.
The Bug is the wrong usage of the Forge-ID-Resolver. Since Buildcraft is the first Forge-Mod its a shame that its bugged like that.
Well this thread ONLY has 74 pages, and i think he would be delighted to have a few inputs or suggestions.
Lol, thats 50% less than my Thread.
If you plan to make any kind of Cells/Dusts/Resources, then I'd suggest to make them Oredict-Compatible with my Addon. In that case I'd suggest to PM me.
Yes I downloaded from importantstuff, from the dropbox, for mc version 1.4.5. I just checked the modinfo, it says for minecraft 1.4.5. I have minecraft 1.4.5, forge 6.4.1.409, and the gregtech from this link: Drop the https://dl.dropbox.com/u/88825306/Mods/gregtechmod.zip (most recent and for MC1.4.5)
I redownloaded everything multiple times. I still get the Unknown Dust!!!! message for all Metallurgy dusts.
What? It worked fine with 1.4.2.
I will install Metallurgy again on my Computer to fix that.
I'm using the latest version of minecraft, forge, IC2, and gregtech. and I did tell you the dust. It's right here >>> http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/744918-
Thats BY FAR not the latest Version, that Version is at least 4 weeks old, and was made for 1.4.2. Its even older, than the FTB-Version.
And the Dusts were added more than 4 weeks ago.
PvP and Redpower? Why does Redpower need an additional Section?
And FTB should really be a Subforum of IC²-Servers.
I think that The problem is the mods. All this technical mods make diamonds not valuable using the electrical tools and armours.
Did I say that this Diamondcount was in Vanilla-MC and with Mods?
I agree with that. You should add a very useful components needing diamonds. Actually, the things in your addon that makes diamond useless are: Ruby, Sapphire. In Vanilla-IC², diamond is very used because it's the only way to get energy crystal, lapotron --> Storage, advanced technologies all need some diamonds. By the way, Ruby and Sapphire also makes LESU useless. Maybe combining it with Lithium Battery could increase their Storage ? (That would be in the same mind, thinking LESU are "cheap" because Lapis is often useless, i.e "free" --> Lithium isn't "free", but easy to get from common ressources if you've enough energy and time to get it.)
Irrelevant: What do you think about adding LESU blocks as Machine Casing blocks ? It could improve internal EU-storage, if you want to implement some way of using (advanced one, of course ^^) Overclocker Upgrade.
LESU-Blocks cause Machine-Casing-Updates, when placed/removed. But as an Upgrade? Maybe.
Since when are Diamonds valuable? I always have stacks of them in my Chests, and nothing to do with them. And the diffrence between them is that you cant use the NaK-Cells for the Laser and the greenish Color. Nothing else.
Hello, I have a problem. Unable to make a uranium ingot
->
-> ? . In what could be the reason?
Already reported Bug. Richard fixed it in the famous Dev-Build.
Lemme ask you something Greg. Is it possible to switch Tritium cells with He3 cells in a fusion reactor while it's Making Fusion(TM) so it doesn't use up 60kk EU for start?
Yes it is.
EDIT:Industrial Grinder recipe for gold ore and mercury takes longer than NEI says. It lasts longer than 5 seconds.
Impossible. The Grinder has a fixed speed. Are your TPS fast enough?
It's much easier to get it from asteroids, even though it's technically rarer. I thought the default config was supposed to make it hard to get end-game stuff?
It's also not about the rarity of sheldonite, it's about how long it takes to find and harvest it.
Even with creative I wasnt able to really find much Asteroids.
I plan some kind of randomly generated "Mystcraft Ages" via Stargates. If he wants to make a Minecraftia-Solarsystem based Space or the Moon, then he can do that.
Update NEI
The End has a (nonasteroid) Probability of once every ~4 Chunks to generate it. You normally get 6 of them per vein. => ~twice as much Iridium in the End. You can always turn that Worldgen OFF.
BC's fault btw.
Edit: Greg, no comment on sheldonite ore being OP?
I thought the Code is enough, so that I dont have to comment it.
So when I run mc, Gregtech says there's unknown dust and that I should report it so they can add it for compatibility. The dust it's talking about is from Metallurgy: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/7449…k-in-minecraft/
Thanks
Do you use an old Version? AND WHY DONT YOU TELL ME THE DUST!?!
So, Sheldonite is the new prize for killing the ender dragon! In 1.2.5, it was a enderegg for a enderegggen for a lot of EOPMC, know you get small amounts of a pecial ore.
Who says you need to kill that Dragon? And the Dragon Egg + Sand Duplicator = Infinite EMC.
And its called Sheldonite, cause its IRL Name is Cooperite.
Greg, please, add more recipes for Fusion reactor. For example W-cell+Be-cell=Platinum, Calcium cell+W-cell=Plutonium cell, Sodium cell+Litium cell=Si-cell.
Si-Cells via Fusion? Thats very inefficient. The other ones will be looked into.
