Yes i know that Diamonds ARE there but if they are destroyed by a Ravine, what is happened to me, then you will find only a few (6) Diamonds. And that is not really a vein in that mod, or?

I'm only here because i'm bored from studying Informatics (actually the semestervacationpart is boring not the rest :D ). So i have nothing to do except minecraft, 9gag and TV. From all that i'm getting much Ideas for IC² so i registered here to develope them. ;)

To belong a bit more to the Mainpost: Uraniumglass is good but i think Alblaka will not add a new Type of reinforcement. :(

Cool, blastproof Glass that is glowing in the dark like mushrooms (yes, they are definetly glowing). And it would be realistic compared to the fact, that depleted Uranium is used as ammunition to kill tanks, because of it's mass, so why not reinforcing with that material. 8)

Snoochy Are you the last at every suggestionpost or what?

On this forum, the first thing i've done was to post a large list of suggestions. This was one of the better Ideas of my list.

Why is everybody thinking that nuclear energy must be produced via a chainreaction?
A single piece of depleted Uranium CAAAAN power a golf-car IRL!!!

It is possible, because Uranuim is still radiating, and so causing a little heat if thrown into Water or another similar Liquid. This heat is usable to generate a Low Voltage (0.25 EU/t in IC²-measures for refined Uranium) for an extreme long time (a lot of years). So why not adding a less efficient way to use Uranium for all these people, who are too afraid of Reactors.

If that Generator outputs 0.25 EU/t than it should use 5-EU-Packets for less lag.
In general every ULV-Generator should output in 5-EU-Packets to cause less lag!!!

And as a predictable sideeffect of that, are tincables much more shockier if you come to close to them. :D

With Redpower Tubes, you dont need Buildcraft for transporting Items, and the Itemdetector counts every Scrap going through it, so if you let a Stack going through, it silently pulses 64 times (nearby without Lag). These pulses will be counted by the Counter, which will be decremented with the Timer, so you only have to set the Timerintervall right, which is very easy with it's GUI. If you know how, you can setup that very fast and you will NEVER have to come back to fill the Scrap into the Massfabricator. But sadly you don't have Redpower installed so... :(

If you are too lazy then wait for the boringness. It will kill the lazyness after a while. :D

lol, i think the only thing i'd get super excited about would be a uranium deposit so that i can fire up 12 CASUC reactors and fabricate all the other ores i'll ever need. lol

also to be honost i never got to use the IC Miners, i'm waiting for IC2 to update to MC1.2.3 :(

I found such big Uraniumdeposit right next to my Base (the green dot on my map). Oh and the Oildeposit i found is very Huge (megafountain). Now it's my actual energysource for the future Massfab, which i can't build without Lapis.

    So, the generator is attached.
It works very simple and you can switch it off via the ToggleLatch in the middle. Actually i'm using Computercraft for it, instead of Redpower because it's much simpler and uses less space to simply program it. The timer is on 30 seconds and the repeater on 4 ticks.

Redled72 is a good german minecraft-let's-player on youtube. He has a lot of the Technicmods installed.

In this Video he's building a Solarpanel/Circuit-Factory. In the Background you can see his lanterns of his Factorycomplex, which are only on if it's dark or raining (Solarpanelcontrolled). Maybe you have to turn the volume louder to hear something.

With the Factory i meant automatical macerating and smelting your Ores without having to put or take your stuff manually into/outof the machines. I'm building these small Factorys very soon in the Game.

With Redpower you can make the Scrapfilling automated with a Timer, a Counter (for the Scrap), an Itemdetector and a bit Wiring, so you can continously produce UUM with Scrap without have to manually switching the Scrapfillingmachine on and off.

On my new World in 1.1 i will use:
Better Veins, IC², BC, RP, CraftingTableII, NEI, CC, Wireless Redstone, Chargingbench, BalkonsWeaponmod and finally BC-IC²-Crossover to use the Petrochemical generators and Electric Engines but not the UUM->Oil-converter.

I hope, no one trys to make a regenerative Massfabricator, with Solar, Wind or Water. Except he/she uses HV-Solar-Arrays for it.

I'm using huge Geothermal and Nuclear to Power it, and soon there will be a new ICE-CASUC on my World.

What's about 4 adjacent Personal Safes or one adjacent Enderchest, which is teleporting all the stuff to your Factory? If you have a lagfree Cobblefactory (yes, that is possible) you will not need the Rock from the Quarryoutput and if you want Marble or Basalt you can set your config for it (but only on SSP).

Oh and i hate the whole "Magic Block that does all the Work"-concept from BC and use it only in Creative Mode. I'm still waiting for Eloraams Frames whenever they come out.

that is a very different idea / concept though, the Quantum Reactor most people think of uses Fission Energy and basically works like a contained nuclear bomb burned off by lasers if i remember right (half asleep, sorry if incorrect) not a "magical cystal" found randomly in the ground that was sent by Apolo to grant the cabapabilites of 32 solar panels in a contained state underground :p

Woo Sci-Fi vs. Reality, Reality wins again.

Didn't knew that there is a real concept that is called Quantumreactor.
I would have never named my suggestion like this, if i knew that.

I'm actually using manned Water with Redpower to get the energy for my basic Machines underground.

    No GUI needed really.
Use Paintkit on any block to select texture. Only solid block textures copied. Change itemname if possible. Use it on CF-block to paint. Drain "durability" when used. Leave empty Painter.

This way i would use it on Glass (predicted Bug), but yes that would not require a GUI.

lol, if i found one of these Veins i could just put a BuildCraft Quarry over it and smile as i watch it all get harvested into my warehouse or make a small compression factory next to it to compress it all into blocks for transport.

Ehhhhhm, "one" Quarry? I don't think one is enough for these Ironveins or Coalveins. IC²-Miners are much faster and harvesting as much ore as a standardquarry, so set 4-9 of them up and you've harvested all the Ore quite fast.

Actually, i've found double as much as i've marked on that map, but still no Lapis or Diamond. Now i'm quite rich. :Industrial Credit:

With these Ore-Mods you can sell other Players the Location of the Ores they need for horrendous amounts of money/resources. :D

I counted 7 items. All in topic. May be add obsidian there, total - eight. I dont consider that this is a lot. Who gives more?

How much covers does RP2 Wiring give us?

    I thougt these were examples.

I think, Eloraam has an automated Covercode-creator (that was the reason behind the Glassjacketed-Wires-Bug, which were removed manually), so she only has to input the BlockID and BAM, she got all the covers, panels and jacketed wires, she need. I hope IC²-Blocks will be included. soon.

    Hallo, German Guy.

Your base is good, but i have some constructive Critics to make it better.

    1. Cobblestonegenerator:
It works best if you simply put a Redstonetorch under the produced Block of Cobble. Yes it bugs sometimes, so i've put a ToggleLatch above the Block to switch the Signal of every Time it bugs. After a while i was bored of going to the Generator to bugfix it everytime so i automated it a bit. Now theres a RP-Repeater under and a ToggleLatch over the Block, so everytime if the Block stucks a Redstonesignal is switching off the Latch and a tick later again on. Finally i got a tuned Cobblegenerator which is filling up my Recycler and my Cobbledoublechest.

    2. Lanterns
The Lanterns are way too huge for that little light they give. I prefer the design of Redled72 a german Technic-Let's-Player.

    3. What! No factory for the Stuff you mine underground? Or are these things cheated.
A Factory to process the stuff you are mining/farming/harvesting/hunting and so on, would be a good way to "fill" your fortress.

Ich denke das war alles, was ich bis jetzt sagen wollte.

It's a bit like the Texturechanging of IC1-Cables to hide them in a Wall. All the diffrent actual cables (including CF-Cables) are one block-ID.

if we are now adding the possibility of texturing these Cables then it wouldn't need so much code or work, as most people think. It would need only let's say 7 bit of Metadata (can contain 128 Block-IDs) and a TextureID-Map (because not all textures are valid, like Rails) to say, which Texture of Vanilla MC or IC² is used.

Now to the Problem of that: Your recipe for the Painter is a bad Idea because it would need a large amount of recipes to cover all the usefull Blocks.

My solution would be, to craft a bunch of colors (8 Colors because some of them can be mixed to get another colors) together with the Painter, to get a Paintkit. With this Kit you could paint 32 CF-Walls with one Texture, which you are select in a GUI.

This GUI is opened if you rightclick into an empty Area (i mean into the Air) or if you Leftclick. A Rightclick on a CF-Wall would repaint it if the Color/Texture, you selected is not already there.

Oh, and i've voted "Yes", because i could need it.
