I think that Mod is called "NEI" and has a Subset Function to disable all the unwanted Items.

Also there are far worse things than the clutter of Default GT. Imagine having GT Debug Mode on, because that shows ALL the GT Items. I have 300 Pages of NEI due to that (in default windowed MC). There is something called Search Function and it doesn't even lag (like it did in MC 1.5).

While it seems simple, it is not that simple. It is just not really possible to remove anything using a Config, without causing the Side Effects of rather important Stuff going missing.

Also all Compat is kept universal and is intentionally not Module based in order to have Stuff work properly. This has become an All-In-One-Mod with additional Compat Features to work well with almost every other Mod per Default.

So Arrows can shoot them like they do with Wooden Buttons and Pressure Plates?

Sure it does. For example those Item Frames, they should have been Blocks rather than fucking Entities. Same for Paintings.

I think that happens due to a Thaumcraft Bug rather than anything else. Maybe Golems broke in that Update.

Note, that most of the Stuff is a custom TileEntity, just like the vanilla Chest. It is not that laggy to have Custom Models using that Method, otherwise vanilla Chests would lag like hell when amassed.

This reminds me of PauseUnpause feeding a Notch-Apple to his Horse.

There must be some way to not rely on json Files. When the Chest Block opens, it has a smooth animation, I doubt that thing has over 2000 States.

There are Bridge Building Simulators in which Ropes are indestructible, so a Bridge made of Ropes would be pretty secure. XD

Endermen only spawn in Darkness, and can also only teleport about 32 Meters away. So build it 50 Meters or so away from the Endstone.

And people have built far more complex contraptions in vanilla Minecraft, such as the Infinite Ender Dragon XP Farm, using a dying Ender Dragon to generate infinite XP by loading and unloading the Chunk the Dragon is in.

If you wanna go Lagfree build your Base in the new Deep-Ocean Biome. That way you have nothing to lag you, since Caves are rarer and you can just build a bit more far up in order to not spawn any Mobs.

Or just go to the End and build your Base there.
