And I am still playing the good old Thief II. Now since I am on the last Level I am only derping around trying to figure out the best ways to kill those Blue Robots (and these newer Sawblade shooting Spider Robots)

Here a few Strategies I came up with over the time:

    1. Shoot up to two Water Arrows into the red glowing Boiler Vent opening on the Back Side to shut them down, this is ofcourse the standard way of disabling them.

    2. Shoot Fire Arrows (those are explosive) until the Robots shut down or break. Expensive but it works. I would save my Fire Arrows for the Cameras however.

    3. Place a Mine and wait until they walk over it. This kills every kind of Robot as long as the Mine is placed properly, so that they walk straight into it and not just run past it triggering the Mine from too far away to be killed with one hit.

    4. Use the Blackjack (basically a small Metal Bat, normally used to knock people unconscious) and hammer with it on the Robot until it errors out. This even works on the large Blue ones (yes, the ones with the Bomb Gun) if done properly. That actually works! You might die from the Bomb Fire, unless you constantly run around it counter-clockwise, but it works. You have good chances if you are at full health, since it can occassionally still hit you once. But you need a way to get close to the Robot without it seeing you, before you start hammering, so sneak from behind.

    5. Use the Bomb Fire of other Robots or Turrets to destroy each other. This might sound hard but it is pretty easy, since they shoot even if there are other ones inbetween.

    6. Let the Robot shoot itself. Just hide in a small gap in a wall so that they come so close to you that their Right Arm shoots against the Wall instead of hitting you (since it shoots Bombs, they explode after a few secs). This Method can be enhanced by using the Blackjack on the Robot while it kills itself. This Method doesn't work if you have two Robots chasing you.

Edit: I found another nice Method, and the best is that it is free!

Use Noisemaker Arrow to lure Robot into darkness, and then attack it from behind. That way the Robot cannot see you while you smash the hell out of it. Just shoot the Arrow at a Location where you can retrieve it back again.

Updating GregTech updated the recipe on my client, and it worked with an anvil. Is it normal that I didn't get any warnings or errors from connecting to a server with a different GregTech version?

That is a Feature, so that you can join with newer Versions of GT on older Servers (but it works the other way around too, maybe I will add a notification for that)

By the way, can I have my pumpkin removed now?

Sure, I will do that for the next Version.

Gah, i missed this yesterday. Happy birthday.

And that is why I am not a Satanist. The Birthday is the most unimportant holiday for me, I wouldn't even celebrate it if I were alone.

Well and then you also need to decide which Satan you wanna believe in, the regular good old Satan everyone loves, or the very bad Canadian Satan.

Your fault, I expected it to be loaded with Modloader :P

Modloader is integrated into Forge, so it is loaded with Modloader.

And all the old Modloaders would deliver such a fucked up Texture when you don't keep the proper Format. :P

Well hey, it's not my fault Greg didn't port modloader to 1.8 yet

As if I ever port anything other than GregTech. I didn't even port Nuclear Control, even though I had the opportunity to do so. :P

The only really useful thing in using Iridium as Weapon (like a Blade or a Bullet) is killing Shapeshifters, since they are very weak to that Material. (almost nobody will get that reference)

Also in Minecraft you can shoot Vampires with Lasers, "IRL" Vampires would be immune to Lasers unless they emit the same Light Frequency as Sunlight (what destructive Lasers won't do at all because inefficient). They would be immune for the same reason you cannot see them in a Mirrior since Light goes right through them (they would be invisible if they wouldnt project their Picture into the Brains of closeby people for some reason, like Ghosts do for example).

But enough Magic Theory, now back to the Topic which were uhhm? What was it again?

My proposition was to add spectrum dust, which convert light into electricity and vice versa losslessly, and this fictive material would at least make glass fibre more logical, and for recipe, look up 1 page or 2 before ^^

Does this mean there is no Real Life Crystal that can convert Electricity to Light and vice versa? I know there is a kind of Crystal that can do vibrations to Electricity and vice versa (I think it is called Piezo Crystal, not sure about the spelling/translation though)

That's like saying you're the CEO of a company because you walked through the door once.

I must try that. Where should I start? It must be someone who looks like me IRL, so there are not really many choices. Hint: If I had red Hair IRL I would totally look like an RL version of my Profile Pic. You know any CEO who looks like that?

NEI 1.1.0.7 works fine for me.

Also I gonna Quote my Q/A about "dropping NEI"

    Q: Where are the Recipes?
A: Use NEI, if you don't want to use NEI, then use NEI, if you hate NEI for good reasons, then use NEI, if NEI crashes for retardedly stupid reasons, then use NEI, you have no other choice, Chickenbones has the Monopoly on this. NEI is available here "http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/909223-145146-smp-chickenbones-mods"

Is anyone else pissed off the Fact that most Games don't run on Windows 8 (or newer Computers in general), even with compatibility Mode, Single Processor Affinity using the cmd.exe and several Graphic Settings? Hell I even tried to fool the shit using an imaginary THIRD Screen with lower resolution attached to extend the left Side of the Desktop to (what technically works very well for resolution limited Games).

Here a few Games which I didn't get to run because of stupid reasons:

The first and original "City Life" has once corrupted my Computer by installing its internal Graphics Driver, so I had to reset the Computer, this is a while ago but I mention that one too. Nowadays that is fixed in newer Versions, but it was fucking awful to reinstall all the other Programs. That told me to always put a Recovery Point, before doing any installation of a Program.

Cossacks, none of the 3 Versions of the first generation. The Screen just doesn't update, it renders the Screen once and then it decides to not render the rest. But the Game itself works otherwise perfectly fine and non-frozen in the background, so I can click Menu options with my invisible Mouse and whenever the Screen has a major change, it updates once and I get to the next Screen, I even started a Game, which ofcourse also didnt update the Screen, but after a while I heard how my people got massacred, so the Game ran perfectly fine otherwise.

Port Royal 2. The Menu renders perfectly fine with the most beautiful settings the Game "can" provide, but when the Game starts, it, guess what, freezes the damn Screen the same way as above, while the Game itself, ofcourse, runs perfectly.

Now for a great surprise, Anno 1701 doesn't run at all, because I quote "The Driver isn't certified", and that only because the Driver is "too new" for that kind of detection table, WHAT KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THAT!?! WHO THE FUCK LIMITS GAMES TO OLD DRIVERS BY USING A FUCKING TABLE!?!

Then I inserted a Game that I haven't played in a long time because it never ran on my second and third Win XP Computers (it ran on the first and also slowest one), Sid Meiers Pirates! I didn't expect it to even start up, but what happens was that it ran perfectly! It even detected the Language properly! How the hell does this Game work but not the rest of the newer Games!?!

When I make a Game it will be Java, and nothing but Java, just to be compatible with almost everything. And I will add a clause that forces the use of Java for any produced Game to the general policy of the company, just in case it gets bought.

Seriously, if they can't even have newer Systems compatible with things which were specialized on Windows, then nothing should run exclusively on Windows Drivers. Someone once said that Windows is just a collection of bad Drivers, and it feels a hell like being exactly that.
