Lex ruins Forge since years, and the capability System is a part of the garbage he allowed to happen, seeing how terribly laggy it was implemented.
The shit he does is one of the primary reasons I am still on 1.7.10, and that I will leave MC after I am fully done with GT6.
Increase your Render Distance that might help
Also installing Optifine is helpful aswell, since it has an option to turn off Fog.

Shameless Self Plug: I don't see any Hostile Mob Drops to be required at all to play GT6. Gunpowder can be made with Saltpeter, Coal and Sulfur, which are all Ores. Bonemeal can be gotten from certain Meat Types if you really need it, or just rob a Grave (Desert Pyramid). Rotten Flesh uhhm oh well I didnt add a Fermenter Recipe for that yet, but I will do that right now! Spider Eyes and Slime Balls aren't required at all, and Wool can be made into String too.
Enderpearls might be a slight Issue now that I think about it, but they arent that needed for anything larger, so Loot might be enough. Blaze Rods might be a large Issue, because I am sure you need them for at least one Machine (Distillery).

Solid UUM doesnt exist in ic2exp anymore. You have to go through a process of scanning and replicating the items using the scanner and the replicator with the liquid UUM.

I'm glad I actually added Ocean Water as separate Fluid in GT6, so you can do actual Salt using it, but not using regular Vanilla Water. Makes a good reason to live next to an Ocean.
My original intention with the large Ore Veins was not "amount of Ores you get from it", that can even be insanely much per vein, I wanted the difficulty to be in the actual Location of the Resource and not the amount of it. That way even in Singleplayer you not only have to take care where you live, but you also have to build some sort of infrastructure to get from your Base to your Resources.
I see this is about GT5U so I cant help 100% with it, but there is no way to MineTweak that stuff the way you want it. GregTech is designed to always make sure equal things are as compatible as possible, configuring your Modpack to make things incompatible is basically impossible to pull off, without doing some serious source edits to GT5U.
GregTech doesnt just grab it during launch time, it grabs it the instant moment something is registered, you cannot put anything inbetween to intercept it without changing the GT Code itself to make an exception for the Pams Salt.
Also it is Salt of all things, the stuff that should be abundant in Oceans. Why nerf that?
With the 190th build or in that range Player "Improved" (what a bullshit) the Energy net and gave up one of the most important features of IC2.
Equal destribution. On top of that that new enet was forced to now longer allow overflowing as player states. From what I remember. He could have changed that in the time its a long time since I lookt into ic2exps source...
But basically I still state: The energynet of Exp is broken.

Do not forget to autodisable the Jetpack whenever you ride a Boat or Horse because you wont fly in those situations!

What Browser do you use? Some Browsers do open mailto Links, though obviously for having an autocomplete in the email sending, like if you are logged into your email via Browser, most Browsers can handle it easily.
