Actually that's an old post on the buildcraft site, the recommended version works fine, as does the latest version.
Tho the version that OP is using was never compatible with IC2.
Re download forge and you should be fine.
i have a similar problem
could someone who has a working IC².jar send it to me through skype or email?
It doesn't go into the jar. You just put it in the mods folder.
Eh, I think this will be the end of the official updates until 1.3
Some of the bug fixes needed to happen for SMP, I don't know of any others that are problematic. So I'm guessing from here out they just start with the weekly 1.3 snapshots.
And that should be a month or 2 out, possibly more. Time enough to get a MCbukkit coded.
There were some problems with that version of forge, I'd try version 59. (not sure if there is a newer one since then, but 59 works well)
First. You should read some of the other topics. 50% of the first 2 pages talk about this issue. Along with the sticky thread on the top.
Second. Update forge, you are using .55 or .56. Version .57 fixed the issue, .59 works good also.
It's quite depressing, i was really excited to test out the agricultural aspect of industrialcraft just to find out that i can't even progress past my first cross breed.
Yep. know how you feel. I never touched it in the last version. Accidentally made a crop once. But while I was waiting for the new version to come out I caught direwolf's tutorial vid on the agriculture and was itching to give it a shot.
I can't get it to take a battery in SSP either.
look at 50% of the posts on the first page, and see what they were told.
wrong version of forge. you need 57, not 46.
Yep. .57 seems to fix it so far.
Is it only in a specific location, or is it anywhere?
You are placing it where you had the iron furnace previously.
From what I've heard it's a forge bug, but a work around is to pick up all affected items, restart MC, then place them again and they will work correctly. Until the next time you pick them up, and try to put something else in it's place.
Your Forge is outdated
Thanks.
Note to everyone else. Make sure you download the "latest" forge, not the "recommended".
