IC2 could overwrite other mods, but then they could do the same, and next thing we know we have a mess.

I'm pretty sure they re-wrote how blocks and items work again, or at least removed meta data.
if i understand correctly, they went from numbers for blocks to block:[type].
a script could be run to convert the number to text if you didn't want to do it by hand. I think this is a good thing for clarity, and removes the block int/double/long cap(pre forge) and replaces it with the string-length cap. given the possible combinations of letters, you won't run out of ID's before your ram does.that said, block:tin and block:copper are going to be interesting...perhaps block:[mod]_[type] or block:mod:type needs to become the unwritten rule.
meanwhile, over at FTB...

Boot to the head. -
Here is sit trying to break the nuclear reactor FOR SCIENCE, and spwnx, chocohead, and xbrony are all playing on trampolines.

so once again we come around to "This is too hard in singleplayer, but too easy in multiplayer, and we want it balanced!"
I don't see the issue with building a Q-suit foundry in multiplayer as long as you arn't lagging the server to a halt. -
so why don't BC fluid pipes work for transporting steam from a boiler without steam explosions, but the IC2 fluid distributor works perfectly? also, why is the condensator required at the turbine end?
-
I can't figure out how to get the steam generator system to work without gratuitous amounts of steam being 'blown off' or water feeding back through the pipes. the second the boiler kicks, it feeds steam back through the water pipes, and the steam generator only accepts maybe 50 units of steam at a time. you can pump the water out of the turbine, but don't put an ejector in it or it feeds that water back into the steam lines and once again you have a whole lot of steam to nowhere.
regulators don't output into the steam turbine either, and fill with steam when used to feed water to the boiler.
i can't make heads or tails out of how this is supposed to work.

hmmm, bugtracker seems empty...time to start breaking things again.

can't keep up with updates. i'll wait for things to settle a bit before i start breaking things again.

film? Rubber
TV show? firefly
video game? Open Transport Tycoon -
if you put it in a cell, then place it on the ground and let it cool, it becomes reinforced stone.

New wind turbines are quite pretty to watch.
however, the electric heater and stirling engine are perpetual right now... no gain no loss in a loop. -
i was about to say, i ran a gold pipe directly from it. only problem i have is that it outputs to ALL sides(asfaik), requiring a regulator(eu) or a feed pipe that is never empty. i have not tried feeding from below, and if memory serves, all ic2 machines generally don't output to pipes below.

IC2 has crops?
maybe i need to take my head out of the reactor once in a while... -
regulators are the key. prime the steam generator with 1-2k water, and set the regulator to inject distilled water when it receives power. probably have to play with the amount injected. (i haven't tested but that is my assumption on how the whole system works.) balancing the water consumption with the temperatures and slowly opening the regulator up as the system allows.

will this superheated steam be clear(realism), or will it have a color(gameplay/visibility)?
-
will do everything you need it to do, and is free.
if you don't like it, just uninstall it and you'll be back at square one. -
