If you use extrabiomes XL savanna's, meadows and shrublands are also valid places to look for bauxite as they are sub-biomes of plains. I also believe savanna's double as also having rubies as well, basically it's a hybrid of plains and deserts. I can't recall atm if it does have bauxite for certain but I do know I've found rubies there.

I don't really agree with this. I like that Gregtech makes mining somewhat more complicated and all the machines but adding mobs to the game? There are enough mob mods out there that could easily make a new mob that is even more difficult than The Wither.

that is where the fusion reactor comes into play it can provide the energy need to start producing anti-matter. Anti-matter would once it collided with matter produce a mass annihilation and produce far more energy than a fusion reactor could ever output. Sure it takes a lot of energy to make but the energy it makes once it hits normal matter exceeds the energy costs that went into making it.

Indeed, once you got the fusion reactor going the thing pumps out power like no tomorrow. Those Nuclear Reactors you start off with make a good way to step before getting Fusion Reactors but you can easily set up a nuclear reactor now within a few days of mining for materials. Granted it still is a complicated process of getting the thing set up gotta make all them centrifuges, blast furnaces and grinders. I can think of something that could be even MORE expensive than the fusion reactor... and that's a Anti-matter reactor lol... think fusion is awesome anti-matter collision energy release dwarfs fusion reactions

won't happen until Soaryn gives the go ahead, last time greg tried this the thread was locked by the mods/admins upon Soaryn's request. So don't ask for this.

Besides it's not that hard to convert xycraft aluminum by grinding it down in a macerator into gregtech aluminum dust.

From what I recall and have been told is that Terraformers are very, very, very, very buggy even in the current iteration of the mod.

go into the minecraft folder in and look for a folder that has configs on it, open that up and open up the config file for Advanced solar panels and find the ID #'s that are conflicting and change them to one you might think might not be in use. Changing the ID's around via config files isn't all that hard

very true... the old saying never put all your eggs in one basket rings a bell here... It's always a smart idea to have a back up. Hopefully things will get solved because no one can download forge versions at all since it's tied to the same exact website. LexManos appears to be working on it but who knows when the site or a mirror will be up. unable to update my forge is preventing me from updating my game to 1.4.6 since all the mods I use are up to date now.

any alternative links for forge? the forge download database appears to be down/offline at the moment.

Hey greg just thought of something, there aren't many uses for carbon cells, why not make it so you can extract oil from it? or even compress the carbon in a compressor to turn it into diamonds or even coal? Or even make it an alternative to coal dust to turn into carbon fiber.
