[IC2 Exp][1.7.10] Electro-Magic Tools!

    I, Tombenpotter, am here to present Electro-Magic Tools, an IC2 Experimental addon I made.
    Now, you will probably wonder what it is. Well, the answer would be simple : look in the Book. And by book, I mean Thaumonomicon!
    Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard it right! My addon is not only relying on IndusctrialCraft 2, but also works, and needs Thaumcraft 4!

    Due to Thaumcraft's most extensive information existing ingame, and its nature, I am only going to provide some teasers. However, for people who absolutely want to know what is in my mod, I shall also give a link to some more pictures.

    Remember that my mod is a Thaumcraft 4 addon, so if you want to keep some mystery and not spoil all of its contents, do NOT go look there!

    My mod is open source. What that means, is that you can totally take a look at it, copy it, or even modify it. You can even decompile it.
    The only thing I ask for is some credit and a link to this post if you do anything with it. I cannot forbid you to take it, and say it's yours, but that would just not be cool. Seriously, I mean it.

    However, things are different for both IndustrialCraft 2 and Thaumcraft 4. These mods are NOT open source, and I didn't decompile them to make my addon. You shouldn't do so, but if you do, don't publish the code. Unless you have the authors' authorization, of course.

    If you feel you can make something in it better, feel free to make a Pull Request, be it code wise, in the entries, or even texture wise!

    As you will see later in the post if you didn't come only for the download link, most of the textures are not originally mine. They are either Azanor's or either SirusKing's that I modified to make them look as I wanted them to.
    Almost all the textures were remade by CyanideX. I want to give him a huge thanks for that!

    My mod adds no more worldgen to the game, using solely IC2 and Thaumcraft 4's ores and structures. However, it adds an item to dungeon chests, so you need newly generated chunks to be able to find it.

    I make this mod solely for fun, and I don't want you to donate any money, granted you wanted to. If you really want to donate some money, go give some to the IC2 guys or Azanor, they all deserve it more than I do.

    About modpacks :

    You are free to add Electric Magic Tools to your private modpack. However, if the modpack is public, you have to follow these 3 conditions:

    • You must have the authorization to use Thaumcraft 4 in your pack.
    • You must have the authorization to use IndustrialCraft 2 in your pack.
    • You must link this thread somewhere where people can see it.


    I would also appreciate if you dropped by and told if you added the mod to your pack, or are using it :) .

    145 Mods isn't too many. 9 types of copper and 8 types of tin aren't too many. 3 types of coffee though?

  • Awesome addon! But I don't play modded Minecraft any more. Instead, I mod Minetest and play Vanilla Minecraft.
    But still, if I did play Modded Minecraft anymore, I would use your addon.
