Thanks Player, and whether those bugs have been around a while or introduced in 1.8, Mojang is finally getting it right.

Uh, they've still got a long way to go. World holes are easy to replicate in 1.8 and they've left bugs like that in from 1.8 in 1.9 as well without any effort to fix them. Leaving client and server separate would probably have been a better way to go.

Hello Player,
I like to notify you that I'm working on a pack for the 3. party section on the FTB luncher and I like to Fastcraf to the pack. The Name will be "S.O.S (I'm crash landed on a post apocalyptic world)" -
There seems to be a bug with 1.22test14, which causes ProjectRed's Volcanoes and Tinker's Smeltery blocks to become invisible above height 64 (weird). I do not have this bug with 1.21.
-
Are you using Optifine? Screenshot? Does it always happen or only sometimes?

This only happens once in a while for me, and it doesn't only happen with Project Red Volcanoes. For me this happens when loading new terrain, only on generation that comes after normal MC generation. For example only certain trees/ things like volcanoes are affected. On re-log it is not fixed however for some reason, and sometimes only a full Launcher Exit will get things to load in properly. Not using Optifine, also using 1.22-ctest14.

Yes, but I removed it and the problem persisted. The first time I loaded the volcano chunk it displayed properly, but when I came back later to mine it, the bug was there and no amount of reloading or relaunching would fix it (until I switched to 1.21).

This description is also on par with the bug we had on kiraratest on overworld (GC dimensions were just flat out bugged), you load chunks, leave them, come back to them and see stuff are missing. Invisible.

Since the block faces towards the missing section are being rendered, which wouldn't be the case if the client knew there was something adjacent, I suspect this being more of an issue on the server side or very early in the client's processing of new chunks.
Is anyone experiencing the issue playing on a dedicated server without Fastcraft or with an older version?
I need someone getting it in single player or with file access to a server in multi player to do some testing.

I am getting this issue both in Single Player, and on my dedicated server, when loading new chunks. I have access to the the server files via SSH, and I can help test whatever you need I am using fastcraft-1.22-ctest14 both client and server side.

Hello! There seems to be an issue with the mod; every time I try to generate a new world, this happens! Someone help me, please!

I don't know how to fix it, but I'd start by removing Glenn's Gases. In my experience it's pretty buggy. Of course, one of the devs still needs to release a comparability fix

Fargo: If you want to help investigating this install the Fastcraft build at http://files.player.to/tmp/fastcraft-1.22-ltest.jar and the latest Sampler version. If it doesn't crash, fly over the chunk with missing bits, run "/sampler chunkInfo" and "/csampler chunkInfo" and then send me the output of those commands please.
RodrigoTaipe93: That's not a bug in Fastcraft, it'd happen regardless. There's certainly an issue in plantmegapack, it's accessing neighbor chunks during world decoration that aren't valid to access. When decorating the chunk x/z, only accessing/modifying the chunks x/z, x+1/z, x/z+1 and x+1/z+1 is allowed.

I'm getting a crash in Single Player on new world load with my mod pack with this version unfortunately. Here is the crash report if it's of any interest:

is this the forge ids?

Hi, we encountered a cross mod problem with the Dynamic Lights mod (http://www.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/227874-dynamic-lights and src at https://github.com/AtomicStryk…tree/1.7.10/DynamicLights). When Fastcraft is active the lights are not updated properly. When I remove fastcraft it works like intended.
You can find the bug report at https://github.com/AtomicStryk…-minecraft-mods/issues/27 and the problem in particular here http://www.twitch.tv/fate78/v/18223719?t=30m0s (just watch a few minutes). To reproduce the error, create a new world, switch to creative, get a torch in your hand and switch to night, then dig straight down.
The light updates are not working sometimes which results in a dark screen. This seems to be more frequent when the player is moved by the environment (e. g. water streams, digging down, etc.). We are using the latest forge version 1517 and Optifine_1.7.10_HD_C. But optifine does not have any effect here, when I remove Optifine the problem is still the same. Removing Fastcraft fixes the problem but makes the game a lot slower.

Fargo: Thanks, that crash is good, it points right at the issue. I think I have it fixed for the next build.
Sailren: Not sure what you mean?
Regarding Dynamiclights that's another case of conflicting bytecode edits, I'll try to fix it.

Just tested 1.22-ltest, I have the same (K)Cauldron startup error.
I know I'm impatient, but I can't wait!
-
The build at http://files.player.to/tmp/fastcraft-1.22-ltest2.jar may fix the issue with missing chunk sections, please give it a try. The server needs to be updated as well if it's using a 1.22 build.
I also added a set of kcauldron fixes for ajthemacboy

I can definitely confirm that 1.22-ltest2 has fixed the missing chunk sections for me both in Singleplayer, and Multiplayer, awesome!
Also, FPS is looking fantastic =)
