Why do luminators fall off?

I am having a problem with the laminators falling off their attachments when I log out. The laminators are attached to fibre cable, but when I log out and come back at a later time - I am finding that many of them have fallen to the ground. Does anyone know why this is happening please? I was wondering if it was because they were switched on when logging out? This is obviously a problem as I have many of them scattered through out several places. If this is not the reason can any suggest whats causing it and a solution please?

I thought, I fixed that already. What build of IC2 are you using abd what Minecraft version?

thanks for the reply. I'm using minecraft 1.10.2 and IC2 version Industrial-Craft-2-Mod-Experimental-1.10.2.jar

I should also add that this is being used on a private server.

Wherever you got that jar file from...
But what version (what build) of IC2 are you using, since that's not included in the filename you posted...

Sorry - I just took it direct from the file name I doenloaded. Within minecraft it gives me 2.6.16-ex110

You have a Extremly outdated version... Update it. You performance and a lot of bugs should disapear. Especially EUBlocks Related stuff got fixed because aroma deleted bad stuff IC2Exp...

As Speiger already said: Please update your IC2 version. If the bug still persists after doing so, please let me know.

Shouldn't they be exploding since they can only accept 32 volts?

The OP hasn't specified what kind of power source the cables are connected to. If it's something like a BatBox or Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator, that won't put enough power on the cables to cause luminators to explode, even if the cables would be able to handle extra power.
