[MC 1.0.0] Test Release v1.4
-
-
Everything is exactly the same, no fixes or changes, just 1.0.0 support?
-
appear to be just porting. So far it work. Some ID changes required when a lot of mods are used.
-
Yeah sorry I didn't tell you guys what to do, we were headed out the door, another 30 sec and I wouldn't have been able to post this.
Yes it is primarily a port, make sure that the quantum helmet works, along with luminators setting you on fire when you touch them when they are on. All the GUI's should be fine, not much to do, but ofc we didn't just want to send this straight to public. Make sure existing worlds load, normal stuff. Get this stuff confirmed and we should be able to release...
EDIT: On the Qhelmet, mainly test the fire depressing and air replenishing capabilities.
-
As mentioned, it's a 1:1 port. We're working on some minor tweaks, but agreed it couldnt hurt to throw out a version for you to test, given there were changes we didnt notice yet.

any improvements performace wise? (caused by 1.0) -
Played around with some stuff:
Qsuit and Jetpack(s) work properly in The End.
Mining Laser is pretty boss against the Ender Dragon.Mining Drills/Mining Lasers (prob etc) ARE enchantable, but the enchants are useless as intended (A Fortune III/ Unbreaking III D-tipped Mining drill depleted as fast as a normal D-drill, and yielded no extra drops).
Just a few things I got to play around with in the 15 minutes before leaving for work (I know it isn't much, but work's been keeping me too busy).
-
Jup, didnt add anti-enchants and stuff yet.
-
im currently unable to test this as im waiting for some processor paste , seems my comp wont stop overheating whenever i load java ..... anyways cpu overheating is annoying so it should hopefully come tomorrow and ill be able to fix this piece of junk
-
Oh yeah, not good not to have good paste on a CPU > Heatsink, not good at all...
-
So what do we have holding us up from releasing?
-
I haven't had the time to test SMP yet, nor have a server spot open to run one for everyone to test. If imer wants to run something. SSP seems fine.
-
Player wants to add some minor tweaks, as well we got no clue about whether SMP runs smoothly. Will not release before that's confirmed to work fine.
-
TheLaughingMan is going to setup a SMP server for us to test so we can get this out to everyone, I'll post the info when it's up.

Thanks, once functionality for a non-trival server is confirmed we can release the port.
-

TheLaughingMan helped set this up, so I gave him the files needed.
-
@ SMP bugs: See, that's the reason why i refused to release anything yet. I KNEW something like that had to happen :O
-
I havn't had time to play with it yet, but I'm gathering from this thread that there arn't that many SSP bugs, the problems are all cropping up in SMP. Now I'm not one for pushing faster release dates, but in this situation, it might be worthwhile pushing a SSP release. After all, a great many of our players are SSP only.
Just a suggestion. I'm not sure if this would cause any problems with updating from an SSP to an SMP compatible release.
-
Servers then will be empty. If it's just one bug on SMP (that is all reported), fix it and double check if there is anything else.
