I thought of rubber boots also reducing damage recieved from uninsulated cables, but standing in water would negate its effect. It sounds reasonable enough to me, i don't know if it is hard to code.

Well... they aren't that expensive. 6 Rubber + Wool. Normally I only wear them because the reduced falling-damage is awesome. Later they might be replaced by Nano/Quantum, but till then they are nice to begin with.

I would like to see you perform some real life tests with jumping into lava with that rubber set
With all jokes aside I think it might be cool for players who are just starting out and far away from the suits.

I'm not sure about fire, lava or radiation damage, but preventing electric damage would be very nice imo. -
It's meant to be a low-durability Hazmat suit. It wouldn't exceed beyond Leather armor, but provide instant immunity (thusnot even armor damage) against these specific sources.

But god forbid that you take an arrow to the knee by a skeleton, because that will rape the durability of your rubber armor in mere seconds?

If you were on peaceful mode, rubber armor would become the only armor you would ever need if the only thing that could harm you was mobs.

I'd like that - at least zombies are slightly useful. Villagers just get in the way and look ridiculous.
