anybody know what the last version of compact solars is that works with 1.118.401
[IC2 Exp][1.7.10] CompactSolars 4.4

4.3.8.102 works fine with IC2 1.118.401 on Minecraft 1.6.4. I'm not sure about anything later, I just know the latest and recommended builds do not work (they crash for me). I took a guess that the latest 4.3.x build of compact solars would be built for IC2 1.118.401 and it works so I stopped there.

Please Make a Update from this Mod for 1.6.4 and the Expermintal IC2 Version.
The other Mod is to Crazy. The Upgraded Versions from the Solar Module is to Expansive and buggy.
Please make a Update.

Which other mod? -
I assume he is rendering to advanced Solars which is overpowered. Mostly because of the cheapness to upgrade a solar after you've made it. Though compact solars is unbalanced as well because of the amount of cables and energy you save.
-
Compact Solars was to avoid lag from all the solar panels originally.

I wonder who will take up with Open Source mod with CPW having quitted modding?

Did he really? The most recent build was about two days ago... http://files.minecraftforge.net/CompactSolars/EDIT: Never mind.
-
The Higher tiered solars have only 2 differences compared to the original ones. The tier (for charging) and the output. It shouldn't be rocket science to include this in vanilla IC², which would be more reasonable than having another addon for only that.

I wanted the hats most.

In case anyone was wondering or particularly cares, since CPW's stopped modding, this mod has now been taken up by Progwml6.
The new Github link is here: https://github.com/progwml6/compactsolars
The new builds will come here: http://files.minecraftforge.net/CompactSolars/
The old builds from yesteryear (aka when CPW made it): http://files.minecraftforge.ne…tSolars/index_legacy.html -

The mod author doesn't hang here. Ask him on twitter .
I suspect he doesn't play IC2 though, so I don't know if he's really fit for maintaining the mod. I'm considering making a CompactSolars Boner Edition with updated textures and a few new features, probably not going to though, since there's already this

would prefer someone update/maintain.. that mod.. has "sunnarium" which has no source ( if its a block it means regenerating a world which i don't want to do) and looks like its a end game only rather then middle game (and later) as this mod is. since it uses reinforce items and alloys and adv circuts
it adds in more then solar panels like a molacular transformer ( presume this is used to make "sunnarium" but not sure how)
the mod author there clearly is stating his mod is meant for replacing nukes.. not lower levels..
gonna stick with this mod till its dead.. and if needed i will cheat in the panels back and wire it up the old way
edit: i did send a msg out on twitter and hope he responds
