Suggestion: Red Alloy Dust

    Red Alloy Dust

    [description]

    A recipe for dust which you can smelt into Red Alloy Ingot from the RedPower2 mod.

    The purpose of the dust would be to make it possible to create Red Alloy Ingots using IC's furnaces and IC's power, rather than having to build Alloy furnaces which require a different power source.

    The purpose would not be to make Red Alloy cheaper to make. In the end it should require the same amount of raw ore.

    Would love to hear your thoughts.

    [recipe]

    4 redstone + 2 iron dust -----> 1 red alloy dust

    4 redstone + 2 copper dust -----> 1 red alloy dust

    1 red alloy dust ----> 1 red alloy ingot

  • i think its an good vallid idea, exept for one point.

    i am quite against the joining of 2 mods, they should stay like it is now and dont draw any closer to eachother. the balance for each mod is an delicate thing. (not that this wil touch it) but who wil say that after this people wont start suggest the alloy induction furnace?

    like the idea, but dont like 2 mods joining hands. sorry ;)

    right, time to get serious...
    i wil be offline for weeks and possibly months at an time. if you have anything to add to an post i made, and would like me to know. you are welcome to pm me, and i wil reply as soon as i am able to do so.

  • Well, it's not a bad idea per se, but I know that IC2 can add this to the Forge Dictionary so that if it senses that RP2 is installed, it will add this to the game.

    But, all in all, it would be the Dev's decision. I'm all for inter-mod connections so long as it doesn't step on any toes (prime example is the IC2-BC Crossover mod).

  • What a problem with energy?
    Want several alloys - use charcoal, it is so cheap.
    Want a constantly working factory - use blulectric alloy furnace, powered by enough solars or thermopiles.
    No need for EU here.
