Are we allowed to use condensators in our designs?
You're welcome to post one if you want... but my opinion is that designs using condensators don't belong on the official list because they really aren't "good" designs. They're above and beyond what I would call gimmicky. -
Hi!
I Build reactor 10 from the list and its cycle time is about 40 min(i measure it).
Its very ineffective!! what could be the problem??
it cant fill 8 MFSU!!
Im sorry if the replay is in the wrong topic -
Currently the double and quad cells are bugged, they only run for 1/2 and 1/4 the time of a single cell.

Incredibly overpriced? This reactor from the list outputs 420EU/t compared to your 440EU/t, and 84mil EU vs your 88mil EU.
Reactor 10:
Link: Mark I EB
Eu/tick: 420
Efficiency: 3
Cost: Iron 316, Copper 535, Tin 65, Gold 60
Credits: SSDIt also costs 1245 Copper, 239 Tin, 276 Iron LESS than yours... and that's not counting the enormous continual Lapis cost of your design.

True, I do agree with that, but it was to see how much power I could get with just 5 reactor chambers instead of the 6 chambers
-
This one would probably be a better base line for 5 chambers then. You would need 2 HV transformers feeding into HV cable just to not blow something up.
(Fixed it)

Why would you need two HV transformers? It's only 440 EU/T output. That's under the defined HV value of 512 EU/T.

^ He forgot to do Copy URL, so it's the wrong reactor.

fixed the link,
gotta remember to check them more often.

You need an incredible amount of Lapis Lazuli, or reactor will expode. Bad design.

Eh, once you get your quantum suit, you really have nothing that is a lapis-sink, and you get tons of the stuff, particularly with Fortune picks, so it's not like you don't have incredible amounts of Lapis sitting around taking up a few diamond chests anyways.

I don't know if anyone has posted these yet, but I didn't want to look through the ten pages of ideas. I have designed all MK I reactors that don't use any perishable materials. Some are repetitive, but the large breeder/reactor at the end is probably the most efficient. I have been using it in single player it seems to make my fuel last the longest.

All breeders are charging cells very slowly, so - bad designs.

If I were to use double cells, they would still only charge three cells because they last half as long. I wasn't really looking for a fast breeder anyways. I wanted an efficient one that worked with my reactor, and I made that with the large breeder/reactor at the end. Try designing a breeder that makes a lot of cells each time while still having a 3recharged/1spent efficiency. -

So, that's pointless to use "cold" breeder. You will lose too many rare uranium, which can't be crafted with UU-Matter.

Here are some base reactor designs I came up with. Base reactor, no extra chambers:
I like these designs as I don't need to build multiple chambers, and the only changes are to the cell layout which you have to change manually each reactor cycle anyways.
Breeder configuration: Uses 3 cells, and produces 5 cells. 35/eu 2.33/4 eff.
http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/v3/reactorplan…a0lv66rcwnts4qoNormal running configuration: Uses 6 cells. 70/eu 2.33/2.33 eff.
http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/v3/reactorplan…t4i2hyv9gajvgg0Bump the EU using a single neutron plate/heavy plate in top center. 6 cells, 80/eu 2.67/2.67 eff.
