Display MoreTrying to make this and NEI says it is made with only one copper cable?!?!?
I get nothing when I used that.
I'm playing FTB Monster Pack with industrialcraft-2_2.0.397-experimental.
Can you please help?
It's a bug, and the developers can't fix it now without using bytecode editing, which would be a PITA to do.
The recipe is: Cable, Machine Casing, Cable (vertically)
Display MoreMoving slightly away from the OP but needing some help with the logic gates now to make my reactor 100% safe, well, as safe as a thermostat (TS) can make it while using an MFSU.
I need to find a way of only allowing the reactor to be on when the (TS) is cool (redstone signal ON) and the MFSU is not full (redstone signal OFF), ever other scenario should mean the reactor is off.
Ive got the wireless transmitter and reciever working fine with the thermostat alone but by adding in the MFSU it's an added complexity which I can't get my head around. How do I setup a gate that triggers correctly under the cool reactor, not full MFSU scenario?
Thanks in advance,
Set the MFSU to the mode where it emits if there is space. Then send it to an AND gate.
Otherwise, invert the output from the MFSU.

Try adding some energy storage upgrades.
Whoops!
Was playing earlier today and must have forgotten to switch off my reactor. Went back online to find a nice deep crater where my reactor once sat. Luckily I had put reenforced brick over the top so it only blew up down the way but even still, a bit annoying. I've restored back to a backup of the game from yesterday so my question is now:
Under what circumstances will a reactor blow up?
Will it blow up if the nuclear cells are depleted?
Will a reactor blow if it's not chunk loaded?
How can I prevent a reactor from blowing up next time? I'm guessing some redstone mastery?
It blows up when heat reaches 100%.
The only way to sense heat without using addons is using RS timers and/or computers from other mods.
That is quite true.
But then again, TE itself isn't balanced, when you compare against Buildcraft.
TE's tier 1 dynamos produce 80 RF/t (8 MJ/t).
BC's top tier engines produce 6 MJ/t.
I'm trying to find out some information on using UU-matter and the scanner. I have everything setup correctly and I was able to scan a few items, Diamond, clay, Sticky resin. I was also able to reproduce them with no problems. However nothing else seems to scan without an error. That being glowstone, oak wood, wool, ender pearls, ingots, ores, dust, sugar cane, etc. it all ends in errors. I have IC2 2.0.354 installed, is anyone else having a simular issue? I should also point out that I'm using Direwolf20 1.6.4 FTB ver. 1.0.18.
Thank you in advance, if this question has been answered please direct me to the correct link. I've tried searching for answers and have found none.

Ores should have no problem.
Maybe try updating IC2 manually? (Latest version for MC 1.6.4 is #397)
Why isn't IC as popular as it used to be? Is it just the downturn of IC? In a few months will it be the old mod people forgot about and no longer care about? It used to be IC based modpacks, now it's TE based modpacks. IC is as old a modding of minecraft itself, why 4 years later is it just now changing? Do we need an IC3 to regain popularity? Does anyone know the answers to any of these questions? Will we ever know? Lets find out in the next post!
IC2E mainly changed that, along with TE.
See, the plate system ruined it for some people. (WHY MUST WE SMASH INGOTS WITH PLATES AND WASTE RESOURCES INSTEAD OF SMELTING IRON AGAIN AND WASTING COAL AND TIME?!111!!!) They a lso feel that the Metal Former is too slow by default.
Then, the macerator (ore doubling) has been replaced by the cheap TE Pulverizers. (Cheap by default) It even has additional output.
The new ore processing made it up somewhat, but then the Pulverizers are still much cheaper.
Electrical tools have now been effectively overriden by TiC's "slap some moss onto a tool". Even old mods required energy or resource of some kind (Vanilla: anvil, TC2: vis, AM1: mana, IC2: EU, and so on) or had a negative effect on the world (TC3: flux, ...).
Miners and the advanced one have always been obsolete anyway due to the quarry. Now that BC is dying as well, they've been replaced with RotaryCraft stuff or whatever mods the mainstream uses these days.
Jetpack and armor - obsolete since Modular Powersuits, now even more with stuff such as the Thaumostatic Harness, Ars Magica flying spells, and other crap like that.
Machines explode are apparently too hardcore for some people. And so is cable loss.
That's just some reasons why IC2 is apparently too grindy for some people.
Actually,
10 RF = 1 MJ
1 MJ = 2.5 EU
So, the default energy ratio should be 4 RF = 1 EU
You should also add a config for loss. (give in %)
For example, if there is a 10% loss on EU, if you input 100 EU, only 90 EU is converted, the other 10 EU is wasted.
Meh, so expensive.
Gonna multiply the gen by x4!
The fuel can mechanic is being reworked, so it will not be in for now.
You haven't run them long enough.
They are like RC boilers, they need to heat up, to consume less lava.
People should read the GregTech thread more. There was something on this issue less than a week ago.
In other news, are unregistered users allowed to post on the forum now?
My Minecraft was crashed.

Update/install Thaumcraft API, and optionally and any other mod that is related to Thaumcraft.
Display Morevery few posts make me actually hate the people that post them but in this istance i have to tell you to go die in a hole.
a research system in mine craft is a pointless time sink with no purpose other than to piss people off and wast even more of their precious time than the actual crafting its self.
it is people like you and your asinine suggestions and desire for self punishment that are the reason why so many mine craft mods have been ruined.
MOST PEOPLE HAVE THINGS CALLED REAL LIFE AND JOBS AND DONT HAVE HOURS TO WASTE ON THIS SHIT
especially knowing that every major update may lead to a world deletion
so please just go away and die and stop trying to ruin industrial mine craft for the more casual players.
the only way i would ever consider adding a research system would be if it was on a master server and bound directly to your username regardless of what server your playing on. other wise it is just repetitive bullshit that you have to either beg an admin to fix or grind through every time you change a server
i honestly wish the people who keep wanting ic2 to become harder would just be perma banned.
if you want this bullshit add it to Greg tech after all most of the undesirable mechanics in ic2 experiential are bleeding over from Greg Tech and i thought there was an understanding that ic2 was supposed to be easy mode and people that wanted the tedium and ultra hard mode would install Greg Tech ontop of it.
i am really livid at how the base ic2 has been corrupted by these assholes instead of keeping the bullshit away from normal users and restricting it to the mod that was meant for them
You can boycott the mod all you want, just don't shove that down other's throats.
It's not as if we held Player and Thunderdark to gunpoint and forced them to code the "hard, difficult" changes to IC2. They did it of their own free will. And whether they want to change it back, is up to them.
As long as lazy people exist, there will be modpacks.
So I am new to cross-breeding, on a test world, I combined wheat and wheat and I made melons the first go. But I went to my normal world, and I've been trying to combine wheat with wheat for about 1 day now.. NOTHING. (1 day irl) It's so annoying! When the wrong crops starts to grow, I take it out immediately and replace it with two crops on top of each other to restart the cross-breeding process. Is this how to properly restart the cross-breeding process or is there more to it? Please help, I'm getting so mad.
I do have a Crop-matron by the way.
It's about your RNG luck.
Don't worry, you're doing it the right way. Just be be very patient*, you will eventually get something different.
* - Crossbreeding two plants of the same time is nearly guaranteed (~90+%) to give you the same plant. Try something different, like WheatXRose.
A Recipe to macerate pure stone (not cobble) to stone dust would be fine, I think. Its not like people use CF foam that much anyway
But pure stone already macerates to cobble.
Maybe Stone Bricks instead? (Unless that would macerate to Cracked Stone Bricks)
Otherwise, maybe craft sand or gravel together (since you macerate cobble to get sand and you can get gravel through umac).
I'm encountering a similar problem in 1.7. I am using the industrialcraft-2_2.1.419-experimental jar.
When I use TMI to spawn in items, it says its an unknown item, but, I can spawn them in through creative fine.
Don't use TMI. Use NEI/Creative.
