Edit3: Any chance to get BC triggers on the advanced machines like normal IC2 machines have?
Definitely on my todo list, also - what's wrong with Induction furnaces? Haven't played that much yet.
Updated :).
Please post bugs ASAP, I don't actually test them that thoroughly :P.
Display MoreYay!!! ty so much, this mod will really help my world.
(edit)
Don't know if this is a bug in your mod, or in NEI, but the only electric engine showing it's recipy in NEI is the adjustable electric engine. (they are showing up in the list as viable items, just the recipy won't show.) all the pnumatic generators work.
Fixed :).
So unfortunately I wasn't able to finish it this weekend, I've got some time today and maybe some time tomorrow morning, I'll see what I can do.
Transformers is compiling already, blocks do show up with correct textures, gui's open up however there are still some major things not working like:
- when dropping an item in a slot from a gui the item gets destroyed.
- after relogging engines deorientate
And other stuff like that.
Is there going to be a 1.3.2 version of this (IC2 1.106 and forward)?
Yes there will be, I'm a bit short on time though and I'm updating transformers first.
I'm working on a new version for BC 3.2.0pre7 & IC2 v1.106 atm. I'll try to finish it this weekend
Royal pain is putting it lightly. Can you "unofficially" put the modified transformers fix somewhere to be downloaded?
I got stuck in the decompile of buildcraft API. You probably need 1.2.5 or something like that and they're running 1.3.2 right now. Honestly I have no idea how to even get the files of github to do it.
It says it needs ModLoader as well or is that included in forge nowadays?
Wasn't there a config option to disable version checking? Or didn't that work?
Sorry for little to no activity lately, I´ve just started university so past weeks have been quite busy.
Once IC2 & BC3 update for 1.3.2 I will get a new version out.
Oh and for those who asked for it, no I will not be providing compatibility patches for BC dev builds - any version that is not in the first post is not officially supported, so errors with that or obvious.
Could you remake the induction furnace aswell? So it works like the other advanced machines, accepting overclockers etc?
Github is a wonderful idea, I was going to suggest some sort of version control but I got beat to it. I'm more used to svn style management but I will figure out git when I have the time. Might be a week or so before I can fully sit down and get the IC2 source decompiled and get a full dev environment working, just depends on what comes up. If anyone knows of a guide how to do that I would greatly appreciate it, I can get forge working I just haven't played with the full IC2 code yet beyond the API. Let me know if you guys(or gals) want to get together somehow so we can start working on this as a team rather than have 3 or so separate versions. So that way once we have the github we can start sorting out priorities and make forward progress with the mod. I was thinking of getting it updated to the latest IC2 version first, then iron out any current bugs and maybe get some smp support working. Then that way we have a updated and strong base to start building new features on, because SMP support is pretty important imo. Then that way we have one version with the combined community effort that is stable and up to date. But this is just my two cents. PM me, and I will try to get this organized so we can start laying out a plan for anyone who wants to help. Especially because we need more than just coders, preferably some people who are good with sprites and music. Not bashing Kennington for his work, but I know personally I can barely art or music. But that is just me, I would like to get some input from the rest of you who are interested so we can get working on this. Maybe start an irc channel if one doesn't exist already so we can collaborate and work together. Probably one for the team working on it, and one general for suggestions and support. Well let me know if you guys are interested in collaborating and what your thoughts are.
Yeah I need to figure out git aswell, I have tried but failed to create a repo that I could commit to. If I find out how to decompile IC2 I'll PM you, last time I checked mcp wasn't an option.
After getting it to work with the latest version I think we should try to make it work with just the IC2 API, so updating will be easier. And yeah, I suck at spriting too :P.
Display MoreWoot...
I just started to decompile the mod for myself and just having the runnable source code in my hands. Then i came here to inform you then i saw that the original source is just released. Thanks
So, the big question now (at least for me) is: Who will pickup and continue this project?

Edit: I'm willing to continue the RocketScience Mod. I'm not a Java/Minecraftmodding noob I'm also not a pro. If there is anybody with a greater modding/java skill as me who wants to continue this project I will not be angry and/or sad ;-).
I've spend a lot of hours in decompiling the mod and I'm in the process of understanding what is going on under the hood.
I want to continue this aswell, I haven't made time yet to look at the code tho.
As I didn't want to continue this by myself in the first place, I'll try to create a github or something tomorrow, so other people can contribute aswell.
Snyke, Could we have permission at MCPC to port your mod to bukkit. We are not with tekkit and respect all authors wishes. There is one porter now I assume you gave permission and he has not done the best of jobs right now. We have another porter that had a working port but we are waiting on your permission.
Permission given, sorry about that. Really need to get myself into bukkit sometime.
So... I can't find where I put the source code on my last hard drive. I can decompile the latest release if anyone wants to continue it, but there won't be any code comments. Still interested?
Yes please.
Yeah, you have to disable version checking in the config tho.
I wanted to release it yesterday then my internet went down for some reason. Update coming within the next hour.
Edit: released.
My bad! I've coded transformers to only work for the version I specified, gonna change that now :P. Update coming soon!
No mistake on your half RichardG!
Hey, all. I hate to say this, but my current research jobs leave me with about half the free time I need for my hobbies. Since I haven't invented time travel yet, I have to lay a few projects on the chopping block, Rocket Science included.
If any serious modders out there want to take over RS, I'd be more than willing to pass on the source code. Misspelled requests from users without Java/Minecraft modding experience will be ignored or mocked.
Damn. I'm willing to take over, help by other modders would be appreciated though.
I've made Advanced Machines Original & Transformers - I hope that makes me qualify.
Send me the source if you wish and I can start working on it.
Thanks for all your great work!
Yes, look at the Wiki (even if it says that it was an accidently release).
Yeah, and then try to download it - dead link.
