[quote='Thunderdark',index.php?page=Thread&postID=17581#post17581][quote]Few questions:
Could it stop a nuke blast from entering?
Could people some how get past the barrier in anyway? (legit)
Is it possible create a bubble well mathematics and calculations and cpu usage a squared in area?
I assume when you mean item past the barrier I guess for owners of it so they can enter and leave from it. Anyways thanks so much this going make an amazing PVP Server as long as it can be resistant to all damage from outside of it.Tested, it will resist double nuke blast, with nukes set to 180
but, it will not block the explosion player dmg so you will die but a small price to pay it still protects blocks perfectly -
you need the three heating items shown and a RE battery in the bottom slot as well as a coil and atleast 2 deturium cells
also Crystal and lapo packs dont work (already noted)
waiting for awesome! -
I was glad when I found out that IC2 didnt have wrench failure included! but it semes that this has been added once again?
why may i ask? It was thruly the msot bothersome thing in IC1 so why readd this unwanted feature? -
This is like Power converters but SSP and better, Make it SMP and Im sure that servers will start to use it instead of powercrystals mod (that one is good too ofc but this seems better)

I'v been messing around with nuke radii myself, as show in the picture in one of the comments, a single surface/subterranean detonation isn't very large, but it seems that when you start adding nukes right next to each other the power is multiplied not added (just guessing not really sure). I added up the destruction area and a 3x3x3 cube of nukes is far more than the blast volume of a single nuke times 27. If this theory is true then I could only imagine what a 5x5x5 cube could do, all my test are conducted with my nukes NOT going off all at the same time, but rather being set off in a corner of the cube by a single stick of dynamite hooked up to a dyno-mote. My results from a 3x3x3 were VERY similar to the original poster pics, but a bit smaller, it still had sheer cliffs all the way to bedrock, would post pics but I can't even render the map file cause there's too many items on the ground to load it. If I could get any of my theories confirmed or debunked it would be nice, i'm planning on downloading a map file that has the bedrock level set to -1000 (after where normal bedrock would be it's just stone) so I can TRULY see how deep a 3x3x3 cube will go down. In return coins?
Are you by any chance talking about Cubic Chunks?
that mod will be awesome -
I second this, or alliteratively uninsulated wires somewhere

Whoo! finally a Lapotron pack! thanks alot!
good luck with your further endeavors! -

Haha, this will actualyl be useful it started as a joke but people demanded it to be updated
-
Yeah, I find that unless Im using the normal drill, that it is a real pain to power my miners
(im developing a concept of portable Nuclear power)
it would help to have and upgraded version which could accept energy crystals or even lapotrons as well as MV current.
also The Mining outpost block idea is still viable. -
Advanced Generators And Teir II Miner FTW!
note: look at the suggestion thread for improved geothermal generators and use the ideas there if you like them:

If you really dont have that much time, then I would strongly advise against Creating a new dimension from scratch
otherwise this looks awesome And I am looking forward to fleshing out of the features/more features -

the point of the lower powered (and plating) design of my reactor is precisely to give more time in the case of lag/malfunctioning coolant systems
for the player to switch off the reactor/the server to catch up chunks to load ect. sure it is not much but it is something that could mean the difference between a very large crater and a working reactor -
As explosion radii is determined by the amount of uranium in the reactor, you may want this design: http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…w3=1k10101001501521s1r11r
which according to the planner has a generation time of 15minutes 8 seconds
(correct me I i am wrong)
I am looking forward to trying out your timed adventure map -
Thats it!
Dezuman: you need to make your own thread with all of the epic reactor designs you have made!
Ive tried fatally to find your amazing Mark II 80EU/t E=2 reactor.
you need a thread!
also: http://test.vendaria.net/index…XXXUUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
make a mark II from that! -
Yes i figured this out about 4 weeks ago: the only real reason to making larger than two chamber reactors is to Increase gross Uranium efficiency (output) at the cost of Average EU/t output:
http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…6i=1o10101001501521s1r11r
Mark III 150/350 second cycle
http://test.vendaria.net/index…CXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXbut when you have gotten a higher technology infrastructure (most probably on a server)
you may want to reduce wasteage in your uranium (even though you get heaps it is a nonrenewable resource)
and that is what the costly designs are for.also there is CASUC but there are large risks involved
and simply having more space to work with allows people to experiment and find advantageous patterns and these are what get posted on the forums.
the reason for this is simply that the external watercooling disproportionately more useful than the cooling effect offered by coolantcells so Mark I is only attainable at a certain point of heat generation (around 40-60 heat). -
this: http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…k0=1n10101001501521s1r11r
cheaper by 1 chamber (which is quite a saving) 1 more coolant cell same amount of HD's
also:
http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…s0=1m10101001501521s1r11rsame amount of chambers , two less HD's used
Efficiency 2.33 -
Well Ive looked at this stuff and I decided to contribute this:
http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.b…t0=1i10101011201521s1r11ra lower powered but safer reactor
the thing is that if a chamber melts then the general heat production of the reactor will go down as the uranium mass is not centered but rather focused on the Right side also, the platings increase the heat tolerance or "Health" of the reactor (they were supposed to be buffed but that hasnt happened yet as of V1.23) by 100 (should be 250)
