Modloader's trying to load the advanced machine mod twice so take a look at your mods folder and make sure it isn't in there twice.

Good luck with that.... the ModloaderMP author is ignoring any bug fix requests made in the thread. You can try sending him a PM asking for a fix but I doubt that'll happen.
Bump for updated to 1.42, leaving the old version up for now in case anyone stuck back in 1.8.1 for any reason needs to get a copy.

The setup: tin cable with 4 solar panels attached to it and there's no damage
add 2 windmill on the same cable up in the air* and i'm now taking damage from the cable. This was a problem as I was standing on the cable I was adding the windmill to.
*just ~38 higher for now, don't have the resources for HV converters

I'm still in the 'need to find enough iron to make a pickaxe out of it' stage (-just- wasted 3 ingots on making a bucket so I could start growing food and not die) on my new world. Maybe later tonight I'll be advanced enough to test this legitimately... but I could try giving my self stuff via MPUtils /i command (damage codes are so useful).

KK, thanks. Surprisingly i haven't even installed IC2 for 1.0.0 yet (because i am a patient man and all that) so i don't know how badly it will affect RP2 etc.
Just letting you know that RP2 users have had issues with Forge 1.2.2 and thus backdated to Forge 1.2.0 and the issues where solved. Even Eloraam confirmed the issues with Forge 1.2.2 and RP2PR4b will have a fix.
Nope.. no issues with Forge 1.2.2, just RP2 itself. In the meantime everything works great just as long as you don't mind enchantments not working.

Yup, necrobumping is generally frowned upon with this style of forum software.
The energy spent in making the fuel for any generator (That includes solar power) is by far much greater than the energy we get through the generator itself. (Over a period of time, until they start paying off for themselves)
Solar panels does not convert 100% of the sun light into energy. If they did we wouldn't need fossil fuels anymore. And to make such a solar panel we would probably have to use VERY expensive/rare materials which would pile on the costs (in energy consumed) to make them.
Last I heard the payoff period for solar panels on a house was several years, depending on where you are (how much sun you get) and how expensive power is where you are.
as to efficiency? wikipedia says the best commercial ones are 21% (take that with a couple grains of salt) but i'm sure that's the expensive cost prohibitive stuff.
