No, not Forge 1448. That is big and fat in the first Post. Otherwise should all 1.7.10 versions of forge and IC2 somehow work. Just uses the most recent and all is fine.
[GregTech-5][1.7.10-FORGE-1355+][Unofficial but approved Port][Stable] Even GT5 Experimental is slowly getting stable.

Damn, I've read wrong. Well, other than the latest for the 1.7.10, the 10.13.4.1492, which seems to have some problem (?), there is only the 1490 after the 1481, guess I should use that... but wait, why they should "shomehow" work? Isn't there one that works best?
-
Just uses the newest versions. They all should work the best. The only not working forge versions are listed in the first post. I can also mention that Extra Utilities 1.27+ currently has a bug that is really annoying when used together with GT.

Learn research shard recrystallization
It is in:
Alchemy
Magic Tallow → Alchemical Duplication → Alchemical Manufacture → Shard Recrystalization
"Sometimes when processing your Crystal Shards they become a pile of Dust instead of the mostly required Shard.
You have finally found a way to reverse this Process by using Vitreus Essentia for recrystallising the Shards."
thanks for info -

Which bug with ExtraUtils is that? -
Tool sounds playing randomly all the time.

I'm curious if there are any GregTech modpacks that include GT5u (instead of just 5.07.07), AE2, PFAA Geologica, and BoP or Highlands (or another mod that adds a variety of biomes), but not Thaumcraft.
-
Never heard of one, just the usual Beyond Reality and InfiTech2, those do not contain PFAA and if they do, its disabled by default (i heard one? or both? of them do).
-
Setting aside whether they include PFAA, I'm fairly sure both Beyond Reality and InfiTech 2 include Thaumcraft, which I'm leery of since one of my earliest experiences with it involved encountering a hungry node.
I was just thinking that next time I'm ready to start a new world (which will be after I've weaned myself off of high-res texture packs (if I can), and possibly after GT 5.09 is released), I'd try using PFAA oregen instead of GT's oregen, and I figured if there was an existing modpack that had the features I wanted, it would be easier than configuring things myself.
-
I have nothing to argue about the hungry nodes, they can be annoying, but can be escaped or be dealt with (extra care to not fall into one, like noticing the particles it produces).
Also GT5U has TC compat stuff that i like, so i'm fine with it :3 -
I noticed that in the config world generation there are options for marble and basalt but there is no gregtech marble and basalt when I search it up in NEI.
I have chisel and project red, does that relate to these mods ?
Also I hope I'm posting this in the right thread. -
Marble and Basalt got added to GT6, but GT5 does not have it. Maybe you have configs first generated with GT6?
-
Thanks you! You fixed the problem with the lapis in the compressor turning into plantballs but redstone and glowstone is broken too. I don't know what else it broken. You should test this.

Oh completely forgot about that. Yes that's it thank you ! -
Is there a config option to turn off that gregtech deletes all recipies for storage blocks form other mods? (Draconium) Or can you fix it that there is no recipie for draconium blocks and when you open the draconium ingot tab in the draconic evolution book minecraft craches? It works fine in the compressor but it shows no recipe. Could this be a bug with NEI Addons or NEI Integration?
I found the problem it compressed Draconium blocks from another one bitest the dust mod. Could you add something to prevent that the compressor trys to compress into blocks from the same mod. -
Bloody, sorry if this wish was already requested.
What is about lightning rods back? Greg just reminded me them in IRC so I'm asking you, if you have plans to implement them in future. -
My tought about the lightning rod allways was: "Why is such a nonsensical thing in GT?", but since GT started with it, i will likely add it at some time out of nostalgica.
-
You could also add weather inducing/cancelling machines while you're at it
-
Before that whould be a better terraformer, but that is far, far into the future.
-
If you're willing to do a better terraformer, better rework IC2 one :P.
