I keep getting this, four out of five times I try to log in to my single-player game;
Any ideas what the cause is? I see several mods listed as "at," and GT is at the top, but I don't know how to read these things.
Any advice appreciated.
Try updating Forge past 1355.
I will give that a shot. Last two times I did I broke everything, since 1355 was stable, I stayed with it.
Any other options?

Try 1420 version. Works absolutely fine in SSP and SMP.

Have been unable to download from the Forge site from y location in China. I get this:

Any alternative sites? My search is crippled from here, too.

Try this.
Solar boilers should be rain safe. Only blocks attaced with EU solar covers will explode on rain contact.
Found out that lightning strikes put basic solar boilers on fire and fire spread to adjacent boilers. I'd not call these environmentally friendly. Time to cover them with glass.
Try this.
That is incredibly nice of you, but I cannot make it work. Any chance you might have the WIN Installer file that you could attach? Thanks

NOTE: This forum software does not allow uploads of .exe files, so I renamed the file to a .jar. Before you try to run it, change the extension from .jar back to .exe.

Here you go, in a zip though because you can't attach .exe files on forum posts.

This forum is great! Thanks so much, was able to get it installed and run this time.
However, it did not fix the issue, still having an unknown server error on login. But, things are more up-to-date than they were, thanks to Chocohead and PaladinOne.
Cheers!
Are you sure the forge update did work correctly? Or is it now a different crash? Because the code in the crash report will not be used in Forge 1355+.

It was the same issue, and nothing to do with Forge.
Optifine had a call to a Mojang library that was changed/missing. Since my internet connection is intermittent, it would sometimes skip the call and load the world, but if it connected to the Mojang library, the load was rejected. Took 3+ hours to figure out, and mostly just luck and Google. When it worked.
Updating Optifine fixed it, and sped up load time as well.
I appreciate all the assistance.
Cheers!
Can turbine blades be repaired?
They should. At least they were repairable on GT4. You only had to use a wrench and a hammer (via crafting) on it to fully repair.
Large Steam Turbine
Each time I log out and back in, I have to restart the turbine with a rubber hammer. Is this intentional? I am not sure how I feel about it, if so. I keep forgetting to restart and running my buffers dry. I know, my own fault, but wondering if this is purposeful or not. Thanks
It isnt intentional.
I'll call it either a bug of load/unloading or chunk border issues (try building all your multiblocks within a boundary of a single chunk)

The turbine is centered in the chunk, I did check that when building the thing. Had trouble with the EBF when I did not pay attention to that. However the Large Steel Boiler that feeds it is in a different chunk, adjacent. It does not need to be restarted. Also, all the chunks of my base are kept loaded with a Chunk Loader, so chunk loading should not be a problem, and indeed, is not when I leave the base.
Not that big a deal, just wondering about the how and why.
Cheers
Well, might be related to world saving and loading. I'll wait for bloody's input since I cant really help on this any further :3
