Minecraft 1.6.2 was an awful long time ago now, and cross mod compat wasn't especially a thing until everything had stabilised more on 1.6.4

In the classic recipes and resource section of the wiki (http://wiki.industrial-craft.n…_%28classic%29#Generators), the brief description only mentions buckets and cells, not piping the lava to it.

I am 100% sure that MC1.2.5 already had geothermal compat for BC Pipes! I know that because the test world where I first tested the very first lightning rod also had a geothermal setup with BC Pipes, which did crash due to API issues.
