[Addon v1.95]Rocket Science v0.89 - flying autominers, missiles, and nuclear fusion!

  • I just found IC2 and the wonders it holds, and began thinking "man I freaking love fusion power, I wonder..." and found this mod. I have a question about being able to add Rocket Science to IC2 and being able to keep my old world. I put a lot of time into my nuclear power plant and fairly sprawling workshop and transformer substations and I really don't want to lose those. Being able to decommission my constantly angry NPP and move into the ~FUUUUUTUUURE~ with fusion would rock so hard. Sorry if this had just been asked and I missed it!

    It should work with an existing world if you get your block IDs right, but I have had some weird bugs with chunk resets and with some of the missiles f.e. them getting stuck at the old max height of 128, which forced me to load an older save. If you really want to get it, backup your .minecraft somewhere and then install it, but I would recommend what RealEyesRealLies said, the APS mod is much more stabile and the tokamak is awesome, although really expensive to build.

  • Well missiles kick ass too! This mod looks pretty neat to add onto it. I plan on trying a buildcraft and APS eventually too but thats not this thread, don't want to steal Rocket Science's thunder with other mods. :)

Going back to the topic, i've been trying working out with the coordinates, it seems im a bit confused..i've posted here a comment weeks ago but there's no response. How do the missile coordinates work? if i set the x= -100 and y= -100, does that mean the missile will be targeted at (x+(-100),z+(-100)) due south-west away from my position?

    I believe so. Keep in mind that he's either still quite busy with school or life. He will continue when he comes back, or he will come back and release the source so that someone else could take over.

  • Just was about to build a themed jar ( a clean install ), Installed Modloader,newest version of forge then ic2 and then this mod and get the exact same error as the poster before me has.

  • Just wanted to say I absolutely love this addon. I'm finding the most practical use with the flying autominers, but I am starting to expand my nuclear facility a bit.


    Just one question, is it possible to sustain a tritium reaction using UU-matter or other means to supply the necessary materials? Or, is it best just to automate the fusion reactor using deuterium and use gathered materials for tritium whenever I want a power boost?

  • The newer versions of forge changed something and now RS doesnt like it, I have forge 3.1.2.94 and it works fine

  • Sadly i have to drop The mod then since 3.2.1.96 has a working 4096 block id fix and most newer mods dont use the the 3.1 forge branch anymore.

  • you need to change the block ID's in the config. technic/tekkit did this for you before.

  • I tried installing this mod, minecraft forge says its loaded, but no blocks or crafting recipes (Or even a config file, for that matter) has been made D:
