I just set up a 1.2.3 build with ThaumCraft, Equivalent Exchange and the Dust mod. Something very different than my usual assortment of all tech mods. I'll have to see how it goes.
Thaumic Generator = matter (and mob souls) to EU/BT/BC conversion = kinda unbalanced IMO.

Meh, i usually dont bother with any other kind of generator but Petrochemical from the Crossover Mod and The Biofuel Generator from forestry. Its kinda like having a Geothermal but with resources you can actually make yourself (The forestry one).

considering it doesn't look like it runs in reverse and going crazy with it could turn every thing purple i don't think there is much to worry from exploiters.
This is kind of exciting, to have Thaumcraft 2.0. I've been waiting for it since he stopped updating last month. I'm kind of disappointed that it isn't SMP yet, but that can wait. I'll just playing SSP until it comes out, and then mod the private server. Can't wait to turn the spawn into a danger zone for the cousins

Apparently the Research do actually block you from making stuff until you do the proper research... Maybe creative mode unblocks every recipe or something 
(Didnt have time setting a proper minecraft to test it)
I've been using it for a while now, it's fun, the only bummer with the research system is when you finish I've gotten all the research except the taint ones, I can't find any taint artifacts or anything... I'm going to have to play with tainted areas aren't I 
I haven't tried playing with the generator in TC2 yet, in the first one it was a bit overpowered though, made way too much energy with a small amount of vis.
Have to say though, one thing hasn't changed since the first version. Wand of Lightning still my favourite toy

LoL, calm yourself Richard Freeman. Apparently Azanor took the time to add compatibility with the IC2 Crops, but didnt have much time to balance it properly.

NOOOOO! that one of the big don't of first person shooters as soon as you pick up tools, weapons, or invent teleportation ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE AND HEAD CRABS START DROPPING FROM THE CEILING!
If anyone has problems using the Thaumcraftteleporterrune (because of Bad Computer like me actually), then he should go to the Config and switch the view through Portals OFF, BEFORE DELETING THE WORLD.
I hope it comes out for SMP in the next time.
