Redpower red alloy wires are not required. All blocks of this addon are compatible with regular redstone.
You can get additional sounds everywhere you want. Check OP for details.

Anyone know if the current version works with IC2 1.97? I haven't had time to test it, and this is one of 2 addons essential to the server I'm running. Love this mod!!

Yes, it works
Yes, it works
Totally awesome. Should prolly look into updating the subject line on the OP, would have kept me from asking Fyi, love the addon. Nuclear incidents on the server I host have completely stopped, haha.
2 days ago i started building my first reactor. Had your mod installed for a long time but no use for it without a reactor
Now i must say it's really awesome!
I like the Information display and i would like to see an addition to that.
Is it possible to develop a display that could be linked to one or more mfsu?
Just in the same way the Remote Thermal Monitor and the Reactor Information Panel is linked to the reactor.
The power display could then show the total amount of energy storage, the actual stored energy, the free energy storage and the current incoming eu/t loading them.
Also i would be cool if this display could be programmed for various events. I.e. sending out a redstone signal if there is no free storage for energy left (which could be used to turn the reactor off)
Edit: Something that looks that way ->
Thx for your cool mod!

I'll probably add feature to display energy storage details (without eu/t).
As for sending of redstone signal, it's not needed in my mind. Can be solved with proper storage building. MFSU has settings to emit redstone signal if it full.
Here is few extra alarm sounds for the howler just extract it to
C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\resources\newsound\ic2nuclearControl
The sci-fi alarms are finished it contains 6 new alarms all made by me. I will do the intraindustry alarms at a later date as well as a few random ones and funny ones.
Had to use dropbox for the sci fi alarms as file size was too big to upload here.
So this is my first post so have mercy pls.
I was downloading and installing you add-on sucessfully...
i tried to ad custom alarms to the howler (in ogg) but when i trigger the howler the sound of the whole game is gone...
hope someone can help me

I saw this problem. Seems mc sound engine have some format limitaions. Try to use audacity sound editor (it's free) to convert your sounds to ogg.
Would you, maybe, add a config option that would allow to increase the update interval of the blocks? I know, for SMP this makes no sense, but my local client can more than likely handle a more frequent update on the screens.

Refresh rate of a screen equals update rate of the reactor. Most of params doesn't change more frequently.
But this idea has more sense for future planned update. So I'll probably add this option.
Just curious, not sure if I'm doing things right, but when the Thermal Monitor gets tripped, is it only supposed to send the redstone signal down? I was under the impression it applied it directly to the reactor chamber it was attached to and stopped the reactor.
I can make it work like this of of corse, just curious if that's normal..
Using IC2 1.97 and addon version 1.1.9b.

Thermal Monitor sends redstone signal in all sides, but skips reactor and reactor chambers. It allows to use it for more purposes, not just for instant turning off of the reactor.
