[GregTech-6][1.7.10] Moved to Website

  • Well its mostly searching through NEI thats laggy. The game itself doesn't seem to lag too much. And hopefully NEI will have mod-based searching again soon.

Seems like everything is made from machine casings now and cables. LOTS of cables.

Pistons are used in the recycler btw.

When I go up to machines, it seems to lag as well. Not even touching them, just going near them.
Edit: I lie. When I put my cursor over a tile-entity, lag spike really badly.

  • also, i like the tiered covers/parts, different robot arms etc. Are they only voltage differences or also speed?

  • Actually I would personally cut back on the cable use a little in recipes.
It can sometimes be a little tempting to go overboard with a new item/feature, I think you may have done that just a little. Not much but a little bit.

    Edit: @ M3ga
Yeah their speed seems to be different afaik.

  • Can someone photograph said interesting recipes? I am intrigued but have no access to any kind of mass-calculation device.

Also, are there any machines that use "machine_bronze_top" other than steam machines? If not, I will use the vent overlay.

I do have to agree there.

From what I can see, all he needs to do is optimise the laggyness, tools, and bronze/steel age (assuming that's still a thing?) before we can use it on kirara (we're using other beta versions of mods anyway :P). That, and also making the machines actually work...

  • Here's some recipes.

I can take them again without Familiar Yet Different, if that's a problem for some people.
EDIT : Changed images in the album, vanilla textures now, and basic macerator recipe.

  • is that a special version of fyd? looks so dark(and beauty)

It's a mix between my own resource pack and FyD, thanks to how Minecraft 1.7.2 handles resource packs :p

  • I have a feeling that wire crafting may be a major bottleneck.
Rather than building multiple wire machines to keep up with demand, I think it may feel better and more immersive to setup a selection (I havnt setup a test system yet) but that is what I am thinking.
But I also think that once a recipie has a motor in it, dont bother with cables in the main machine. Assume it is using a tiny bit of cable hanging out of the motor coils for connection purposes and perhaps add some reinforcing to the machines or something similar.

Then my resource pack here (You'll be the first one to get the new version, I need to update my MCF thread and screenshots) :

Then in the resource pack menu, enable the two resource packs then organize them so that mine is first, followed by FyD. And here you go.

  • So, the basic macerator. more/less expencive than what we currently have in regards to simple ore doubling only?

  • ;o sexy recipes

I am tempted to just do 32x of machinery/blocks and tools, instead of all 500 different crafting items. It would A. Save effort and B. Fit in more with vanilla/other mods. I did the same for IC2, I think.
