[1.106] Reactor Components Summary

  • let's just wait for the next planner. i wanna see the highest possible draw of EU/t in the new reactor!

  • you can calculate that yourself just get a pen and paper, draw a nuclear reactor (the gui)
and count how many Quadcells have 4 adjacent quads, 3 and 2, multiple that with 5 eu/s and you have your instant bomb.

  • how much cooling has the normal reactor?
water all around and all 6 chambers.
    looks like it has none

  • it looks like the reactor wont get any hotter then 22080 heat when you have 4 or more conatinment reactorplatings in it...
    WTF?
    my reactor behaves very strange
when i turn it on , the mfsu that has blown up due to overcharge
    is forming continusly explosions,
reactor at 80k heat and isnt exploding.....
somehow it even changed the bevaihor of a lever

i have to go now i will write more when i come bac

  • scratch that i was just stupid

  • Right now I am working on a Neutral Breeder with 64k heat
it will produce 4 re-enirched Uranium Cells every 477 ticks.
    64000 Heat /3000Heat=21.33
    10000/21.33=477
with one Urainum Cell in the middle it would produce 64 Heat,
to negate this there are 5 advanced Heat Vents.
right now I have problems getting to 64k Heat,
can somebody help me with the heating configuration?

Note: i am using Neutron Defelectors to simulate Isotop Cells

    EDIT:
    my desigin now melted itself...
and it was constantly cooling to, less advancedHeatvents and more platings
but still 8 minutes for 4 Uranium Cells is a very effiecient design

  • How many points one resource repairs the component.

Well i get that, but how do you refill it aka how do i put the lapis into the thing? (Im trying to create a fully cooled 3000+EU/t reactor)

Place the condensator into a crafting window with lapis, or redstone if it's the redstone version.
It has to first be damaged in order for you to be able to "repair" it.

  • I already see myself raiding some strongholds for some industrial purposes. 8o

It has tiny stupid what below?... A RATING SYSTEM! here goes my face :Advanced Furnace: cmon it is even transparent you can't be serious.

  • There's something that's bothering me... what does it take for heat exchangers to begin accumulating heat on themselves instead of routing it away to adjacent components? Cause it seems they prefer to take heat away, but I can't quite understand how :p

  • They need a huge buff to make them usefull (huge meaning really huge 5x-10x maybe?)

I'd have to disagree...using a massfab, you can make lapis at a cost of roughly 80k EU each. So imagine a simple design with one LZH-Condenser next to a Quad uranium cell:

    You get 12,000,000 EU
The cost to remake the lapis: 1,905,778 EU
The cost to remake the copper plates used in the quad uranium cell: 544,700 2,179,600 EU

    Profit!: 9,549,522 7,914,622 EU

And that's with just using two cells on the grid ;)

Edit: I apparently mis-calculated quite a bit, bah! ... I probably needed more coffee back then :P
