Can the modders implement a compressed air gun? It is a long ranged weapon that does a lot of damage on mobs but doesn't destroy blocks, and it can be charged using any energy storage devices.

It's said in my answer. The thing I didn't precised: it's supposed to be an addon wich would let you create weapons and PvP stuffs, but without any restrictions! There would just be a system to create your weapons, making you abe to make the weapon you want depending on what you've used to create it. We've no more informations, so I can't be 100 % accurate (even 5% ^^). Alblaka's answer now ? Maybe I should say something totally wrong, in order him to interfere

The original Industrium Conflict was a set of 9 fix weapons with the ability to load different ammo (and later on I added the idea of modifying the weapons with attachments).

+ What you called "adding attachments" was what I called "a way of creating the weapon you want", because it would add tons of possibility for PvP

You can suggest 'building tools' which can double as weapons. F.e. Mining Laser and Chainsaw are primary utility, but work for fighting as well.

I usually stick with the "Horizontal Mode" while mining since I suck at aiming...
And the Chainsaw is 99% of time for Mobs^^

Well mobile piston then? Push blocks in front of you (with the exception of blocks like reinforced stone etc.). Not really a building tool but more general utility.
