I cant find any good 4 chamber reactor. So i would like to know if there are any good high (for a 4 chamber reactor)power that wont have a running cost except the uranium/plutonium/thorium? Im using greg tech also if anyone wants to know.

1 Thing you need to know: Plutonium > Uranium
Unless you are using an old version.
What version of Gregtech are you using?

Not sure but im using the one that is in FTB Ultimate

[Edit] And I was thinking of a reactor tower if that makes any changes. If they transfer heat to other and so on. (I am new to the reactor part)

Yup, a Super old Version. Dont bother with plutonium since it isnt worth it in that version.

Okay. But i still want/need a good stable no running cost reactor plan with 4 chambers? Any suggestions?

sirius your designs have no "zero running cost"
they eat copper, ecept for the last one.

They all eat Tin and uranium/Thorium soooo
And its not much, Especially for the thorium as it needs 4 Copper per Quad thorium.

From the stickied reactor design thread: Peppe's 4-chamber thorium neutral hybrid. 367 EU/t, Efficiency 9.175. Running cost: slightly under 2 copper per hour.

Reminder: all current hybrid reactor designs cease working with GregTech 2.90 or later due to a massive nerf.

Massive nerf? More like a Bugfix.

A nerf is a nerf is a nerf, regardless of whether it was a bugfix or a balance change ;)

By the way, thorium/plutonium and thorium/uranium pairs are still behaving a little funkily as of 3.02a. Each cell on its own is fine (nevermind, plutonium's heat scaling is out of whack, more details another day), and plutonium/uranium hybrids are fine, but most (but ot all) hybrid pairings involving thorium still deviate from their expected efficiency. Is that still a bug to be fixed, or are you done adjusting things?

(Just so I know whether I can start making new designs or not)

I don't really consider thorium quad cells to have a high running cost, since they take eight times less copper to make

even if you dont consider it, it is NO ZERO running kost reactor,
yes mine still uses tin and uranium, but as EVERY reactor needs tin and uranium to run, is this irrelevant.

    Copper cost is not.

Huh? Ultimate pack is on 2.81 I think. Plutonium was substantially nerfed in 2.90 (more power yes, but no hybrid boost and drastically higher heat).

    Here's a 4 chamber for 1.4.7

    http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/v3/reactorplan…8ji8znssf1xklq8

You'll also want a breeder to actually provide it with fuel.

I've been looking for the same thing....a 4 chamber safe reactor to just burn away at the stockpiles of nuclear fuel that GT causes (with GT you need to mine so much for Cr that everything else stockpiles while you're always out of rubies).
I'm burning the thorium right now in 6 reactors set up like this:
    http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/v3/reactorplan…8jz5dl2ai859zb4
if you mind the gold the component heat exchanger can be a simple heat exchanger as well.
Later I plan burning the uranium in something like this:
    http://www.talonfiremage.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/v3/reactorplan…k9jxv9ef0d16134
I like these designs because of how cheap they are so you can mass produce them....Once I get to 10-12 reactors I'll prolly invest in more components and automate them (haven't decided yet routers or advanced regulators)...probably with a breeder and something like this:

    slightly improved the last design...

maaan maybe i should stop doing this all the time...

    EDIT: nope aint gonna happen.

i just cant stop improving everything i see

FYI, FTB Ultimate 1.1.0 is on GT 2.90h

So be careful when you start saying what FTB does or doesn't have. Many people have moved to 1.1.0 because of the substantial bugfixes in lots of the mods.

That said ... is there a good 4-chamber reactor for the 2.90+ world of GT? I am having issues finding one, especially since that handy java simulator doesn't work with the new pluto/thori
