Well, considering that BC branch tries to keep (some of) the BC power difficulty this might actually be a good thing. -
Well, considering that BC branch tries to keep (some of) the BC power difficulty this might actually be a good thing.I do like that it keeps the old mechanics. I also agree that this could be a good thing, as easily exploitable as it is.

As of right now, nothing, because MJ doesn't exist any more.

MJ exists even if it is legacy... please revise your answer.
-
Legacy indeed, even its mother mod (aka Buildcraft) has left it.

Well, your question is not specific enough... which MJ?The BC2 - BC4 MJ (Minecraft b1.8 - 1.4)?
The BC5 MJ (Minecraft 1.4 - 1.6)?
The BCNextGen MJ (Minecraft 1.7)? -

i saw this, that is why i am asking.
Is there any difference in how power is generated/transported/attenuates/other requirements, or is it all code on the back end that has changed, and i wouldn't notice unless someone told me?does the little blue line in the conductive pipes still make the machines turn?

What a nightmare over here .
Remember...if microsoft buys minecraft, it will be for profit. they will have to come up with some way to get profit from those of us who already have bought the game, even if it is an aside (think "downloadable content" or the realm crap MC has lately.)
-
Imagine Minecraft 2 written in .NET. Imagine no more mods. Imagine each update costing money, and the game being rushed and shitty.
-
Imagine no more mods.
I imagine mods being pushed to a indie store to be bought for whatever MS uses nowadays as replacement for money and cutting 70% of the revenue for themselves.
-
...and all mods have to be reviewed for their content. no bugs, no 'unbalanced' mods, no mods that do something another existing mod does, no overlapping resources.
edit: And these everywhere
