no its not, the elec engines are something that is still unique. especially the adjustable one.

so once again we come around to "This is too hard in singleplayer, but too easy in multiplayer, and we want it balanced!"
I don't see the issue with building a Q-suit foundry in multiplayer as long as you arn't lagging the server to a halt.
and you know the solution to cobble gens in MP lagging out the server? put cobble on the recycler blacklist. then you can't use it to make scrap. -
because of what iridium unlocks. the quantum armor and drills are high end products
make it easy to get SP and MP it becomes a joke. -
refined iron = blast furnace not regular furnace

kaldskryke not 86400 ticks .. it should 86400 sec 24h... its a stupid error in Slotcode.. fix on the weekend (more free time)
Please make it configurable. -
the problem is, if you make it useable with manual scrap making, anyone that automates it will be able to supply many mass fabs and that would be considered OP.
-
try recycling the stuff from a mob farm that is 4 layers at 63x63. I can not only keep up, i can turn them into scrap boxes and over come the mass fab, even with a TF upgrade in it. This is using MOC to boost the mob loot types, but you get the point.
lag ain't bad from it. use BC pipes to pick everything up. MFFS interdiction matrix to kill every thing. It is 1.6.4 but, one word. QUARRY. many mods add a strip mining quarry, BC included. -

IMO, it shouldn't be iron fences, iron fences would ground out the system, you have to insulate the wire from the ground.
-
bare wire + electric fence power source = electric fence RL.
I know, my uncle uses elec fences for his horses. -
random thing im saying: do you know if theres a spray paint mod aka graffiti mod where you can spray pretty much anything?
sorta, open blocks has stencils and you can paint quite a few vanilla blocks. -

easy answer:
make a backup of your world, then upgrade IC2/MC. If it corrupts it, revert IC2/MC and restore your backup and try to fix the issue.
I did this when updating from 1.4.7 to 1.6.4. Took quite a few tries before everything worked right. -
when they do add the losses back in, it better be on the current side.
IRL what they do to overcome the losses in long distance power transmission is to jack the voltage way up to lower the current.
I wouldn't mind having to step up the voltage to prevent power loss, provided I don't have to do it just for going 40 blocks. -
I too have no problem with the current cable setup...minus the voltage max on copper, but that's another issue, and the cost of the glass fibre cables as well. the recipe is fine except the output. it needs to be increased.

what's not true?
and my post wasn't directed at you. -
better cables have HIGHER resistances? Where is the logic in that?
we are making some cables out of "expensive" materials and as such, they should have LOWER resistances than the others. even if IRL they aren't the same
the only reason they use aluminum cables IRL is they are lighter and cheaper than copper cables, not that they can handle higher loads.
heck, the only reason they use gold in high end components is for its resistance to rusting, not its resistivity, it is actually higher than copper. 22.14 nΩ·m gold vs 16.78 nΩ·m copper. 28.2 nΩ·m aluminum. 96.1 nΩ·m iron. 15.87 nΩ·m for silver which is actually the best outside of graphene (10 nΩ·m) or a super conductor. Diamond technically is in the insulator range and not a conductor at all (1 TΩ·m), though some colored diamonds act like semi-conductors....go figure.
